Well it was in eastern Ukraine where everything was happening but this flight was not lost by any means. It flew over the same space most flights do they said. BUT since Russia has shot down two Ukraine planes his week, they said it'd be highly likely that any deviation from that path at all and they'd shoot it down.

Either the rebels got it from Russia, or Russia did it. You just can't get missiles like that on the black market and this will probably begin an all out war between Ukraine and Russia. It's almost textbook history, a major commercial transport is attacked during moments of trouble and it sparks a war

Haha exactly. But when there is a looming conflict ahead it almost certainly pushes the two sides towards it. I'm not sure there are many flights from American carriers that would go that route, especially since there are only 3 now and United's international flights from Europe to SE Asia likely fly under the One World badge. If anything the British Airways flights look more like Malaysia Airlines.
Also, difficult to see the flag at 500+ mph.

True. Either way this proves that Russia is giving the separatists some serious weapons which leads me to believe they are probably planning an all out offensive on Ukraine.
