If their QB Mus doesn't play then I don't see this being a blowout. He has an injured hand. I'm not predicting a win but this will be a closer game.

Studders has about as much talent on the field as the devils. But there Qb is the only reason I give them the win. Where D is very youngs first-year starters. And I'm not sure if it even matters if the QB starts or not. I know studders should and probably win. But I have seen stranger things happen

He's playing its to non throwing hand. And the talent comparison isn't close.

I hear the Struthers Qb is really good and is getting alot of D1 looks. The young red devils will need to play a great game tonite.
How's the weather looking for the game tonite?

He is a good one. His name is Musolino. Rumor has it he injured his throwing hand and may play running back instead of QB vs. Campbell. But we'll see. It's been raining off and on all day. But the rain is supposed to stop by kickoff. Again, we'll see. In order for Campbell to have any chance they will have to run the ball, make first downs, control the clock, score at least three touchdowns, eliminate turnovers, and play well defensively. That's asking a lot from a young team. Again, we'll see.Camp1999;1756068 wrote:I hear the Struthers Qb is really good and is getting alot of D1 looks. Musolino is playing QB, rushton is the big play threat on the outside for the cats, if it man/man they will look for him down field early.. field will still be slippery, I see the cats winning this game and getting their confidence back, no rain at game time..

Musolino is a stud. the one aspect that stood out to me last night was how the struthers linemen finished their blocks. they didn't stop at first contact, they continued through until the whistle blew. @champion next week, very winnable game for the devils, keep fighting!

Campbell has no numbers and no disipline, that doesn't go well for rebuilding, I don't see rozum there much longer, 2 seasons tops

The question is how long will this long standing rivalry of 88 years continue? Let's face it, Struthers has over 100 more boys in grades 10-12 than Campbell Memorial does. A good friend of mine hit the nail on the head..............this game is only scheduled because it is a rivalry. Hubbard has 242 boys this season, just 13 more boys than Struthers has. Would Campbell consider scheduling Hubbard? Not a chance. I would feel bad to see Struthers removed from the schedule. But the facts are what they are. Campbell might be better suited scheduling a D-5 or D-6 school, or maybe a good D-7 school, perhaps Warren JFK. Just saying.Spread All Day;1756751 wrote:They'll be just fine in that tier i believe that 1000 %

Lowellville isnt good but why not schedule them? Theyre close, could be a big non-conference rivalry.

Turnovers (lost 5 fumbles). And a blocked punt that resulted in a safety and an extra possession for Champion.Spread All Day;1757532 wrote:at least 1 more year. What happened with Champion? Saw 20-6 then 23-20!

It wouldn't surprise me. But if there is a change on the schedule I would be glad to see Warren JFK back on the Campbell schedule. The rivalry has been in limbo for years.Spread All Day;1757533 wrote:Lowellville isnt good but why not schedule them? Theyre close, could be a big non-conference rivalry.

I suspect Campbell we'll take this invite and will be eventual end of Campbell strutgers games starting in 17

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. The disparity in enrollment between the two schools is quite large. It would be sad to see the rivalry come to an end. But the numbers just don't add up anymore. I believe Struthers has 229 boys this season compared to 127 for Campbell. That large of a difference often translates to several more very good athletes on the field for the larger school. Campbell needs to move on to playing schools with similar enrollment. One thing I would like to see continue is Campbell-Girard. The two schools have developed quite a rivalry of sorts over the past few years. Campbell might also want to consider adding Warren JFK to the schedule. I believe this switch would be very good for Campbell in all sports for boys and girls, not just for football.soupcitysoldier;1759612 wrote:I suspect Campbell we'll take this invite and will be eventual end of Campbell strutgers games starting in 17

The itcl invited 5 different schools, including brookfield and campbell.
