Two straight days of drinking to lead into the weekend. Things won't be lightening up any time soon.

Wife is out of town so I took today off. Went to the casino last night and was down to my last $30 of the $300 I started with before I went on an amazing run betting only outside bets in roulette. I ended up staying until 3:30 in the morning and leaving up winning $200 between roulette and craps although most of it was in roulette.
i think now I will be going back to the casino tonight and playing on that $200.

We went to Brighton today - it was not was were expecting at all. The ocean is pretty but it is a pebble beach and the vibe is a mix of Seattle/San Francisco/Coney Island/Jersey Shore. Very alternative crowd. Lots of bikers/alternative theme bars and restaurants/tattoo parlors, etc. Glad we went but it was much grittier than anticipated. Not a place with a sandy beach where you can play ball with the dog (although there were dog-friendly beach areas) or relax reading a book on a beach towel.

Did the Haiku Stairs (stairway to heaven) in Oahu today. 3,922 steps. It was tough but amazing. I'll post some pics later. Need some sleep.

I think most people would have peed their pants going all the way to the top. I know I would.Midstate01;1619719 wrote:

The first two sections had me struggling. My legs were dead. took a short rest at the 2nd landing and then went the rest of the way. Was something I knew I had to do before leaving Hawaii or I'd regret it. We didn't get the greatest views up top because of the clouds and fog, but it was still worth itYtowngirlinfla;1619732 wrote:Did this about 3 years ago. It was pretty amazing.

It was really hard for me too. I was lucky we did it in January as it wasn't too hot. My legs were like jello. We spent a lot of time in Hawaii doing missile testing and I was lucky enough to get to do a lot of things. It's a great place, though not sure if I could live there.Midstate01;1619734 wrote:The first two sections had me struggling. Missle testing here in oahu? Rimpac? I know they do a ton of Missle launches over at barking sands in kauai. We are staying over there the first week of june, our last week living in Hawaii.Ytowngirlinfla;1619738 wrote:It was really hard for me too. I was lucky we did it in January as it wasn't too hot. No in Oahu just around the island. We did testing for the SM6 missile. I know we were around kauai. We pulled real close to Manawaiopuna Falls. Pretty awesome scene to just sit right there for hours.Midstate01;1619743 wrote:Missle testing here in oahu? Rimpac? I know they do a ton of Missle launches over at barking sands in kauai.
