Pitman, might be a flashback to the shrock Ramsay games. Those things took about an hour and 15 minutes. I always remember listening to the fourth quarter of whatever other game was on the radio when heading home

Everyone does remember Waynedale gave up 74 in that defensive struggle against Triway right? Let's not pretend this will be a defensive oriented game, and based on that, Chippewa should have the upper hand.

I think the Waynedale football team should use the new wrestling complex as a locker room. That would give the boys plenty of room. Or is that space too sacred for the football team? Beast?

Alum 1 I'm not trying to poke, but I have never read so much how great a team played after giving up 74 points! Hell, Fairless only gave up 50 against Triway.

I hear you man, but you are on his good side. Don't say anything that is going to turn them him against you! You said you are going to the game, he will be looking for you. Me I'm going but staying on the Chipps side, we should be able to see a douche coming with a plastic badge so we can dive into the crowd.Wcal observer;1659820 wrote:Alum 1 I'm not trying to poke, but I have never read so much how great a team played after giving up 74 points! The only reason why we didn't score 80 on Fairless is cuz we were up 28-0 in the first quarter. We didn't have to try to score in the 2nd half. Waynedale had the lead over us in the 3rd quarter.Wcal observer;1659820 wrote:Alum 1 I'm not trying to poke, but I have never read so much how great a team played after giving up 74 points! Observer...honestly what bears fans said we played "great"? For almost 3 quarters we did play with them but there are no moral victories here. I think we all knew we would probably run out of gas because we can't sustain that pace of play. You definitely have a "hard on" for the Bears and I gather it is from YOUR perception that everyone thinks we are the best team around...well like they say...you are what your record says you are. Does that make you any happier?Wcal observer;1659820 wrote:Alum 1 I'm not trying to poke, but I have never read so much how great a team played after giving up 74 points! Your right WCAL I think most of your fans have been fools. The stuff that has gone on here is beyond crazy. Go back and read the posts following that game and read how many posts were made about how that game prepped you for the league. I don't know what fans made that post but, giving up 74 points does not prep you one bit. However, Chippewa gives up 300 to the best back in the area and it's a catastrophe. Furthermore, not sure how much that Triway game helped considering the better teams in the league are ground oriented.
Pitman I don't care how many you could have put up on Fairless, the fact is that's what the score was. I have stated all year you're the class of the PAC, but it will be a short playoff run when you face a team that is physical and will challenge your receivers at the line. I'd be careful questioning anyone's defense without looking in the mirror.
In closing i think Chippewa does win this game, but I'm not going to hide the fact that I hope they blow the Bears out, and put all the nonsense to bed. I have a hell of a lot more respect for programs like Hillsdale and Northwestern who go about their business, offer quality insight, and carry themselves in a respectable manner.

Should be some great games again this week. How much does the weather play a factor? I am looking for hillsdale's o-line to play a complete game. Last few weeks have been suspect. I like the athletes hillsdale has on D, secondary has good tacklers and the D-line has held its own. Very good play from the D-ends. I think tonite will be another close game with northwestern.
I think Chippewa/waynedale will be a good game. Waynedale has some good players. They left several plays on the field last week and could have very easily won big against hillsdale. They have offensive firepower and will be in the game with Chippewa IMO
norwayne and Smithville should both win. Dalton is solid though. Another good game

"Last night was a disappointing TEAM loss. There should be no finger pointing at one individual. Fingers should be pointed at the TEAM. I have always said on here that I believe the coaches job is to prepare his team and put them in positions that give the TEAM the best chance to win the game. Most of that is done during the week (practice) leading up to the game. However, they should also make adjustments during the game, when and if they are needed. The players job is to listen and work hard during that preparation (practice) and then go out a perform in the positions (game night) that they are put in by their coach. Last night, as a TEAM, we didn't get the job done."
You pretty much summed it up for us.
Really the take was that they scored more points than we did.
Not surprising anyone, the team with more points was the winner.

I'm curious coach...I mean Hunter...In any sport when the score(s) is close (i.e. 26-24, 25-23, 25-21 in volleyball or 23-21 in football) it probably comes down to making plays down the stretch, huh? Your thoughts??
By the way, your initial response was a masterpiece...make sure you give credit to that genius author, whomever that is...

I hate pretty much everyone equally. Some just get by never knowing it.
Today's rain should make for a real mudfest at the local games tonite. Except for the lucky ones with the artificial turf fields.

I wasn't questioning anyone's defense. You were making a comparison between Waynedale giving up 74 points and Fairless giving up 56, insinuating that Waynedale must be 18 points worse than the 1-4 Falcons. I was just backing up the Golden Bears, letting you know they are much better than Fairless, and that had our game with Fairless been a competitive game like it was with Waynedale, they would have given up many more than 56. Believe me, I'm very aware of the type of teams and style of play that could challenge our Triway team on offense and defense in both the regular season and in the playoffs. We are just taking it one game at a time. Tonight we have a Tuslaw team that has some playmakers that have played below their potential and look to finally be getting healthy. We cannot let up tonight against the Mustangs.Wcal observer;1659904 wrote:Pitman I don't care how many you could have put up on Fairless, the fact is that's what the score was. As for the WCAL games tonight, I look forward to hearing how they end up! Dalton could surprise some people. Waynedale could pull the upset. Who knows? Good luck to all the teams.
