That's gotta hurt. A team ends up with over 500 yards of offense ... and still loses.

I noted last night that this is the SECOND time that more than 100 points were scored in a WCAL game this year already. Last week, Dalton and Northwestern put up 101, I believe. And tonight, it was the same.

Hillsdalle leading league with 13 pt. points allowed pre game, followed by D-town. Everyone else have given up a lot for this league. Based on that Chipps offense is a little more polished, giving the nod to D-town, Dalton is a wildcard can't get a read on this team.

Chipps can run the table. Bears COULD beat them if its a shootout.

IDK though WCALFAN has the REAL scoop

The second half of the season is going to be really interesting in the wcal. Lots of explosive offense and good, solid talent throughout the league. Was disappointed in how dalton came out this week. They were sluggish and not very sharp, (hopefully looking past the Indians?). The bulldogs have a real solid front seven on defense, but their db's are athletic, but very inexperienced and it has shown at times this year. They also have had a few guys banged up. Hopefully those guys can continue to develop and finish the season strong.

The WCAL picture should get a little bit clearer as each week passes. Dalton is tough to figure out as they have had the easiest league schedule thus far. Norwayne has played the toughest first two league games. That Dalton front seven will get a major test this week. I'm guessing Norwayne will try to jam the ball down their throats. It should be an interesting game.

Like I said earlier...we should probably just forfeit this one and move on.

I love seeing the Chipps up at the top of the league. I hope they do run the table!

I got the opportunity to watch Chippewa and Norwayne this past Friday, and came away with some thoughts. Chippewa came out like a ball of fire and jumped up 20-0 in the first three or four minutes. From that point, the Chipps defense disappeared. The d line looked like they were sleep walking. Norwayne showed a spread look, but basically just ran Miller off tackle, and Zollinger around the end on a zone read. Miller is an excellent back, he runs angry, and looks to punish tacklers. That being said, Chippewa made some key stops late in the fourth and held on for the win. I almost think that Chippewa let up after the big lead, and then almost got caught.
As far as Chippewa on offense; they have so many weapons that can hurt you. They have a ton of speed, and hit you on the inside and on the edge. Their passing game was ok, but they excelled on the ground. I believe they average over 10 yards a carry. I was surprised how physical they are, the online created gaping holes. I noticed numerous Bobcat players getting banged up and getting up slowly, and I read that Tuslaw had 11 players out the week following the Chipps. I would say Chippewa is the equivalent of Triway on the ground.
Last few comments; Miller is a beast. I was very impressed by him, and the Cat o line. If Norwayne had a passing game, they would be lethal. I think the game in Apple Creek this week should be a good one. I think Chippewa will pull this out. I think their experience will help, and the fact they finally played a team for four quarters woke them up some.

Why so negative. Why can you not support our Bears. Have confidence in these boys and the coach. Geesh! See a little competitive game coming up and you wanna toss in the towel already. You're not a true Bear fan. SMH. Bandwagon fans like you make me sick, no wonder youre keeping an eye on the fence, because you dont have any idea which side you're on.:RpS_flapper::RpS_w00t:: thumbup:

Someday I'd love to come watch a game from the famous Waynedale fence.

Oh, it will definitely be an "experience" for you. Even though you are quite knowledgeable, you will leave the fence much smarter....:RpS_blink:

I am pretty sure that "hero juice" is a prerequisite.

No they stopped that 2 years ago after our 0 & 10 season.

Too bad really with record sales that year, one more year of that & we could have built a new HS debt free.

Anheuser-Busch pulled their sponsorship after we won a few games.:RpS_sneaky:

Thats too bad. I enjoyed sitting on the back of a tailgate parked up as close as possible to the outside fence and drinking beer while watching the game.

Dick comment. You should show up. All the parents and VB players that support the FB team....its a damn shame that the VB team is playing for a share of the league title and has had virtually NO support this year! And I dont have a kid playing....she rides the pine on JV.

And the hits just keep on coming in the Creek! Serious question, why is it this fan base can not get along? Supporters of other programs may disagree at times, but none have as much inhouse arguing as Waynedale. It's as if you guys would rather take shots at one another than even discuss the upcoming game. I just don't get it.
