This guy is the only reason most people log in! When I'm not on here, neither is anyone else. I will keep you guys entertained! When I'm not here you have to deal with RRfan asking a question then answering himself 4 days later! So 7 penalties per game is good???? Hilarious! Maybe If Dougie wasn't standing at the 10 yd line while the rest of the team is at the opposing 10yd line they could actually hear the little guy

Hey short jokes....always classy.

I don't know if 7 is good or bad. I guess it's what kind of penalties are they.

Tough one tonight. Senior has a strong run game. Our D hasn't faced that all season.

Lexington is the worst team in the conference. Tonight is when the rubber meets the road.

Just like last year. Our last 6 will be tough. Hope we can compete in games with WH, Madison & CF. Tonight, Ashland & Woo will be much tougher matchups.

I taped that West Holmes/Ashland game. Only watched a bit, but I have no idea how West Holmes won that. Ashland's defense is the real deal. It's their offense this year that struggles a bit. Unusual for them. I really expected them to run the table in the conference. I've also seen Clear Fork, who I think Orrville can beat. They looked a lot like Lexington size wise. Madison..I saw them play Wooster. It's a winnable game, but depends upon which Madison team shows up. They have a lot of talent but it's not utilized correctly, in my opinion. They're shut out for 3 1/2 quarters and then rip off 14 points in three minutes. If you ugly up the game, they'll participate.

West Holmes won by wearing down Ashland. The same way they will wear down Orrville this weak. Now that WH has found a fullback, teams can't focus on Ogi, which is exactly what the wing needs to run at full potential. The Knights defense played well enough to win. Rushed only 3, and dropped 8 into coverage. It perplexed Denbow at times, plus we blitzed on rare occasions to mix it up. Knights are gonna be on a high coming into this week's matchup, and I look for WH to come out 3-0 in the OCC.

I know they will wear down the riders. We are very undersized and basically everybody playing both ways. Not going to be easy for the Riders.

One weakness West Holmes has is the lack of speed on in the defensive secondary. If Orrville can spread the defense out, make some plays downfield, and take advantage of their speed, they could put up some points. But stopping West Holmes (and protecting the QB) will be difficult.

Were you at the Triway Orrville game...Apparently not but because Orrville is not the Orrville of old.

There are a few playmakers that Orrville has who could pose big match-up problems for West Holmes' lack of speed - running and throwing. However, as I saw in the Triway/Orrville game, Orrville's O- and D-lines are... very thin, and this would be the biggest concern. I'm just trying to find the silver lining that Orrville may find and take advantage of.

Silver lining Triway QB moves to Orrville and brings a bunch of WR's with him. Enjoy this year in Triway you guys have a special year going.

I like our chances in this one. I think this game will be much closer than many expect. Last week against Senior was a very winnable game IMO. We had our chances, but one too many big plays early in the game killed us. Northwest was also a winnable game. Triway was the only game where we didn't come to play (although I dont think it would have mattered...Triway is that good).

What it comes down to with Orrville is can our boys play for 4 quarters. Lots of kids going both ways and some youth in positions where we really need experience.

Good luck Riders! Keep working hard!

Anyone catch the Chagrin Falls game on TV over the weekend? Remember how good they were for those few years? All those kids have graduated & their cupboard is bare.

Same with Genoa & Norwayne too.

It goes in cycles. We got so spoiled with our "down" cycles being a year or 2.

And Chagrin Falls is a rich community, too. So much for the socioeconomic factor. : thumbup:

Norwayne is certainly not a state title team, but I don't know if I would say the cupboard is bare.

What the heck's the deal with Clear Fork this year? I read that they had four letterman not come back out for football? Gotta be a story behind that. I see their roster has 5 seniors and 8 juniors and 9 sophomores.

Knights should win this contest. Both programs have caught a bit of a "down" cycle, but I think WH has made the proper adjustments since that Triway debacle to turn the season around. The Knights ground game will pull away in the second half, and defensively, Orrville doesn't have weapons to deal with like Triway and Ashland. But of course, it is Orrville, and a rival game covering many years, so I'm sure both teams will be ready! Weather is NOT sounding good. :(

With the OCC down as a whole, the championship is wide open.

Weather may hurt Orrville if we try to throw it around...I did like the 2-back running game we went to in the 2nd half last week.
