Agreed. If he doesn't come to the Cavs, at this point, the conspiracy theorist in me says this was all a big setup to weaken (three way trade where we essentially dumped salary & got peanuts in return) the Cavs as he saw them as an up and coming threat. Cavs are the better choice, at this point. D-Wade & Company are going to get VERY old over the next 4-5 years.

If the letter really is an issue, then Riley must've found a way to get inside lebrons head. Lebron can no use this as an out.

It was also a business decision by Gilbert to try and keep as many cavs fans as he can. Yes, he bashed James in the letter and there is no defending that-he shouldn't have done that-but he was only trying to strengthen his fanbase and let them know he really cares about this team. Lebron knows this, he isn't still strung up on that letter from 4 years later. Just dumb ass Broussard.

That being said, I'd assume should LBJ come on board that Gilbert would apologize. I'd also hope Lebron would make a more heartfelt apology to the Cleveland fanbase. If he were to do that, all is forgiven from me. That's all I've ever really wanted from him.

Yeah, I've had a hard time believing some of Broussard's stuff, but this is just absurd. Whatever happened to 2-3 days ago when the Cavs had replaced the Heat as most likely to sign him? Now this bullshit about the letter is being brought up like it's something new and hasn't been around for four years. Lebron has had plenty of time to figure out if the letter hurt his feelings too much to play in Cleveland or not. And we're to believe someone in Lebron's camp is dropping hints to Broussard that the deal is being held up because of this?

Fuck these idiots. They have to report something, so they take whatever they can think up, cite it under "sources" and will never be held accountable anyways.

They're also going to try and spin Gilbert into being the bad guy now instead of Lebron if he stays in Miami. Which is ironic considering no one is paying attention to the racist jackass across the country showing up to court late and threatening everyone.

Jesus these guys' egos are so fucking huge. It was a god damn letter written in anger nearly half a decade ago. Get the fuck over it Lebron. Or don't get over it and stay in Miami. At this point, I don't care just make a damn decision.

If Gilbert was serious about getting Lebron he would of apologized by now. The letter was so over the top it's just silly. It doesn't even need to be anything fucking special, just that he went over the top in the heat of the moment. I advise a couple of you to reread the letter, im guessing you haven't in years.

And then 2 other superstars will sign in Miami. But because of him "seriously" contemplating Cleveland, no one will accuse him of illegally talking to these other superstars behind closed doors about returning to Miami. This has been the plan all along, there just couldn't be any threat of getting in trouble for talking when they shouldn't.
