We're about to draft Parker. As Sleeper would say, "Book it".

Right because 7 footers always pan out. 7 footers always turn into top 10 players. Right? What a crazy opinion to have, that someone who has never shown an unreal ability to dominate defenders offensively won't be an elite player in the nba.

I mean I understand your views if I'm saying he won't be shit in the nba. All I'm saying is I don't believe he would have been elite.

So what you're saying is that before Oden was drafted you never thought he would be a top 10 player in the NBA? Please. LOL

Honestly have no idea. The guy can't seem to avoid injuries. Parker may be the safer pick.

That's what 2014 S&L is implying.

From that Chad Ford article where I got that Durant quote:

"Oden was supposed to rekindle the legacy of a bygone NBA era when giants ruled the paint. He was an old-school, freakishly big, freakishly athletic back-to-the-basket center who drew comparisons to Tim Duncan, Patrick Ewing and David Robinson. He was supposed to win multiple Defensive Player of the Year awards. He was a lock to average 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks per game."

I'm not asking trying to be a dick bc I think you're entitled to the opinion, I'm asking because I genuinely have no idea what you're saying if you're not saying what we think you are.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Embiid's mentor, also was not certain as to the extent of the injury. "I just heard he got hurt," said Mbah a Moute, who is overseas.
I lol'd at this. Nice work.

I know you're not.

I am confused with what is going on in this pointless argument so I decided to bring up odens penis in hopes that this can stop.

Hey we lost Embiid but at least were down to Lue or Blatt as our coaching options. I'm still on the Blatter train.

At this point I'm thinking that we back away from Embiid. As much as I like him as a prospect the injuries scare me. Wiggins/Parker both much safer at this point.

Joel Embiid has a broken foot and needs surgery? This all but confirms that he will be drafted by the Cavs.

Would rather have Wiggins. He's the next Durant.

Same stress fracture as Big Z in 2000. He came back an all star in 02/03 but essentially missed 2 seasons. I'm off the Embiid train at this point.

Exactly why taking big men with injury concerns is a hugeeee gamble. Imagine if this would of been a week or 2 into training camp instead of before the draft lol, thatd of sucked. Its almost a guarantee Wiggins to Cleveland now

I must say that I would be pleased...

The Cleveland Cavaliers are prepared to offer David Blatt their head coaching position, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The two sides are yet to agree to terms, but it is evident that Blatt is the Cavaliers top choice for the job. Owner Dan Gilbert and GM David Griffin both agreed to choose Blatt over Tyronn Lue, and now the process of striking a deal will likely begin. Blatt will be the first head coach to make the leap from coaching in Europe to becoming an NBA head coach.

I wanted nothing to do with either. Doesn't make sense to me to hire this guy when hollins, Karl, and Jackson are all available. The Cleveland FO strikes gold again. /sarcasm

And the IQQY post of the week goes to like_that, who seems to be the only one I've seen that prefers a re-tread.

Love the hire, a lot of guys have a lot of good things to say about him.

I probably would have preferred Jackson, but I think Blatt would be a solid choice.

I too would've taken Jackson/Karl ahead of Lue/Blatt. But i'm interested to see what happens with Blatt, if he is the choice.

Mark Jackson doesn't know how to work with a front office, Lionel Hollins is about as anti-analytics as you can get, and Karl I'd be OK with but I'd much rather have a disciplinary up-and-comer.
