I presently have a security system but it is old window magnet type and motion sensor spotlights, two dogs, weapons. Looking to upgrade to a more wireless system, off site and phone app system.
I’ve had one quote all ready: three motion cameras, five door security breakers, five in house motion sensor, glass brakeage, smoke .. alert. This system would be connected to my phone, my wife and one other family member. Can be activated on/off via phone app and monitored by the Pro Security. I have to purchase the equipment and installation and the monthly fee would be $45.00 to $55.00 per month.

Who has a Security System and what are your monthly fees and service ?

I have simplisafe. All wireless. Bought a refurbished package for $230 and pay $25 a month for monitoring and the use of my cell phone to turn it on and off from anywhere. If I didn't want that feature it would only be $10-$14 a month for monitoring or if you just want alerted if your sleeping and someone breaks in$0 a month monitoring. No contract.

I had ADT, got rid of ADT because I have insurance. Fucking system would go off during bad storms and i'd get a call from the police about a break in while i'm watching tv.

I have simplisafe as well and we like it (although we do not do monitoring at this time).

I also bought a refurb at the end of last year...It's nice because you can add on things easily once you get a core package (I added on a flood sensor for my sump pump).

I just wanted something to alert me if someone is in the house to give me time to arm myself and take position at the top of the stairs.

An alarm wouldn't have stopped Alex DeLarge. He was a go-getter.

Exactly. Canton was scary in the early 90's and I'm confident its not much better now.
