'Gun Free Zones' are nothing more than 'Target Rich Environments'.

Arm the teachers; curb the violence; protect the innocent.

Not sure I would want some of those teachers to have weapons!!!!
I almost think that if you arm teachers, that weapon would be used for bad before it is used to stop a school shooting. Just my thoughts.

Where there is a will, there will be a way for these kids to do stupid shit.

Think it was on facebook or whatever, but someone I knew was teaching a weapons class to teachers and talked about how awkward and incompetant many were just handling it.
I think if you do arm them it needs to be just those who really want to, and go trhough such extensive training to be able to handle one.

Yes; it is not as simple as I made it sound ..............but we have to do much, much better.

We protect politicians, athletes, and celebrities with armed personnel; but we are not willing to do that for our children ......makes no sense.

The truth hurts.

Keep allowing kids to get killed; bury your head in the sand; continue being a misguided liberal.

We protect athletes? How much money do I spent a month on Lebron James' bodyguard?

Think he meant that those types of people at times are protected by people with weapons so why cant we protect school kids by armed guards.

When you walk into the Q how many armed guards are there? What portion of the ticket price goes toward that security?

Yes, you pay for armed security all the time; except when it comes to our most precious people. Senseless, but apparently politically correct.

Speaking of armed security, some HS events have them.

I wouldnt be against armed security, but I am not so confident about teachers.

Lol if you think armed police officers at sporting events are there to protect the athletes.

Yes, that's a small part of why they're there, but not the sole reason.

At least CCR knows something about guns...think what would happen if an idiot like ETB had a gun in the classroom?

He'd come into work hung over and having trouble breathing...and then accidentally shoot off his own dick?

Lol. There's so much wrong with everything you just said. But let's apply your idea to the situation this morning. A teenager in a crowded hallway starts stabbing people. The victims say they really had no idea what was going on until they noticed they were bleeding. So how does an armed teacher make that situation any better/safer?

Your comparison of protecting children with how we protect celebrities, politicians, etc. is apples to oranges. Most of those involved events have personnel/technology rooting out weapons before they enter the premises. I'm sure if all the schools across the country could afford that, then that's what they'd be doing already, right?

Conduct some research or have a rational thought before your first reaction is "we need to give teachers guns you ignorant liberals!!!11"

Here's an idea. Let's stop killing people just because you can't handle life.
