So today when I went to go google something, I noticed the Bing somehow had a hostile takeover of my google chrome. Now when I search in the address bar it does a Bing search instead of Google.

I made sure Bing wasn't installed on my computer.

Fuck you Bing.

Any help to get rid of this (already made sure anything with "Bing" was uninstalled)?

Sounds like a virus. Take it to the Geek Squad asap. They are an amazing group of people who wouldn't even imagine price gouging the shit out of you.

On the topic, I've given bing a chance a few times and always come back to Google.

I have noticed that Google's results have changed (for the worse) the past year or two. It seems to handle random word searches differently, which is really unhelpful when looking up PC error messages. I have to wrap everything in quotes when I didn't used to have to do that

Bing is good for video searches. That's about it.

True. Expert tip: it searches porn, too.

I like Bing, it's usually the same results and the video search is much better especially for porn. Sometimes if I'm trying to find something specific it's easier with Google so I use that but generally I stick to Bing since they give me Amazon gift cards.

If you're not careful installing various free software (such as CCleaner and others), they like to try to sneak Bing by you. The other big one is some sort of search or shopping bar (usually gets flagged on my spyware if I miss it).

On a related note, the latest Chrome update kind of sucks.

I eventually got rid of it, not sure what did it exactly.

On a related note I hate that every time I update Java they try to sneak McAfee on me.

Apparently someone either is using a certain degree of subtle wit or someone happened to look up Google during some day where they had a left-leaning logo for that day and the sight of it turned him into a Belly/QQuaker-level politard.
