Someone said it after round 2 that Napier is reminding them of what Kemba Walker did a few years back....I forget who said it but that is looking spot on as well.

Personally, all-around, I think Napier is better. But the comparison is undeniable. He and Ryan Boatright very well might do the same thing that Kemba and Jeremy Lamb did.

So glad Napier and the other seniors stuck around after the mess of the post-season ban and Calhoun retiring. Not many players would have done that.

It's gotta be Harris because Payne is shot.

UConn playing with no stress and nothing to lose....having fun. They were the last team to beat Florida?

If he leads them to the title, then you sure could make a case for it.

Not even going to think about that one. It will hurt my head deciding. Too close.

Then when he takes that low seed that everybody considered a favorite at the beginning of the year to the Final Four Izzo is praised for overachieving.

I am not saying all of his teams are legit championship contenders -- I am sure there are years in which Izzo really did overachieve with the talent he had -- but we should keep things in perspective.
Your point is off topic. The discussion was about Izzo's Final Four results. The fact is he has taken (2) #5 seeds to the Final Four.

I think that is why rec and I have a small issue with izzo when people bring him up as one of the all time greats. Everyone always talks about him. Always. It's annoying

It's not off topic at all. Izzo is known for often underperforming throughout the year relative to preseason expectations and then pulling it altogether in the tournament and being hailed as some kind of wunderkind overachiever. We talk about Michigan State's slow starts on this board all the time. That absolutely plays into Izzo getting as many 4 and 5 seeds as he does compared to guys like Roy or K or Self who typically shine in the regular-season in addition to the tournament.

this is a horrible year to make that comparison though. Ive never seen a team miss so many games together.
