St. Louis is pissing me off with fouling since 3 minutes to go. NC State must have missed 10 free throws since they started though, so it's working.

Overtime would be futile for State. They have no chance to last another five minutes.

What a comeback....free throws are the achilles heal for a lot of teams, even with the double bonus.

I mean, obviously you want the ball in Warren's hands, but that was an open mid-range J. Can't complain about the look.

N.C. State makes 25% of its free throws in the second half and they win in regulation.

That's one of those really gutsy coaching decisions most guys won't make. You've lost two players to fouls, and have to figure guys are gassed fighting back from 16 down.

Probably should have gone for the win in regulation. We'll see.

I also look at N.C. State having just played less than 48 hours ago. Also, being an ACC fan, I know that State is never a favorite.

I hope they pull it out though.

This is what N.C. State does. A bunch of fucking Darius Washingtons.

Come on. Play with some pride.

Welcome to N.C. State basketball. I hate those assholes. They'll fuck you every time.

Then again, Gottfried, whenever people have expected him to do something at Alabama or NC State, he's disappointed. His only run was 2 years ago where they actually surprised people as a double digit seed.

I've never been a believer in that theory. The NBA has just 48 hours between games routinely in the playoffs. I didn't play college bball, but at that age you really don't need 48 hours to recover. I know some of the games can get pretty physical, but it's nothing like football.

HS and college kids are playing basketball 5+ hours a day, every day, in the summer. I know it's not the same, but they should be fully recovered after a day.
