Like I said, it would be a terrible plan. The likelihood of anyone seeing that insurance money is very slim. I only posted what the guy said. I thought it was interesting, and could certainly be one explanation why the pilot didn't just nose-dive into the drink. And it's really not some intricate scheme - lock the captain out, turn the plane west over the ocean, and depressurize the cabin. In fact, it's a far simpler idea than all these elaborate conspiracy theories. And you know what they say about the simplest explanation...
What it is so elaborate about the pilot and possibly a team of cohorts overtaking the plane and diverting it to some unknown location for either a hostage negotiation or some other form of terror-related activity?
