It takes a bit of nuance to understand it - which includes Asian's fascination with manga/anime/fantasy in general, and their cultural nature where they can be timid in one moment, and out of control the next if you say something they find objectionable, regardless of how silly it is. I remember as a kid watching Japanese congressional meetings where someone would disrespect another delegate and the entire delegation would have to break up the fight.
I love the film "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon", great movie, but it sort of epitomizes this. In one moment the two female leads are "sisters" and within a 3 minute span they are fighting to the death.

Watching Japanese congressional hearings as a child. Sounds about as awful as it gets.

Just the news flashes, you really haven't seen them fight? In the 80's it was a butt of jokes from SNL to the late show programs. It was pretty funny. A bunch of Japanese guys in suits in a Congressional setting...one guy says something and within seconds it is on! I'll see if I can find a youtube video.Rotinaj;1587734 wrote:Watching Japanese congressional hearings as a child. Sounds about as awful as it gets.

I think this is Korean, not Japanese, but it is similar:

I don't know what it is about their culture, but when it is on, it is on! Americans aren't perfect and we have our physical incidents but usually they last fewer than 15 seconds. They just keep on going.

Does he have a passport? Oh, and BTW, wrong forum but what is up with UK this year? Not United Kingdom but University of Kentucky - all of my FB friends that brag about them have had a heaping bowl of STFU flakes the last few weeks.GOONx19;1587774 wrote:JK lol. ETB is funnier than that video.

I don't know, I only root for them in recruiting. I think that the college basketball champion should be the team with the best-rated high school players each year.

Well if that is the case the Harrison twins fooled everyone, from what I've seen there isn't anything remotely special about them.

UK has underperformed. Obviously people don't talk as much on facebook when their team is not playing well; WTF else would they do, brag about each loss? You can say the same for every team's fans in every sport when their not at the top of their game. Your OSU friends on FB have had a "heaping bowl of STFU flakes the last few weeks", too.
What does this have to do with weird-ass Asian people?

Nothing, like most of the comments on this thread. Just didn't want to post another thread on another forum.GOONx19;1587782 wrote:UK has underperformed. I'm just glad they weren't arabs otherwise they'd probably attack an embassy.
