I went through his IMDB list. The only two movies of his I've seen were The Big Lebowski (which sucked) and Boogie Nights.

As Scotty the boom mic guy in Boogie Nights he had one of the most cringeworthy scenes ever when he tried to kiss Dirk (Marky Mark's character)...the guy was crazy good, and when he won the Oscar for best actor in Capote his speech was so humble and genuine.

I just didn't see the appeal. Everyone talked it up so much, by the time I saw it I was let down. It's watchable, but it's not "OMG SO GREAT" like everyone said it was.said_aouita;1575455 wrote: It was an awesome movie.

Say what you will about the tenets of national socialism dude, at least it is an ethos.
That is the type of humor. Different people enjoy different things, I thought it was hilarious. But many people don't. I spit out my coke when the dude and Maude were discussing the adult film involving the Big Lebowski's wife, and she says something about imagining what happens next and the dude says "He fixes her cable." My date didn't find it funny at all.
