I am about 75% through TH7 upgrades/builds. Got 1 more day until I get dragons. I also usually look for 100k+ resources give or take how easy the base might be to attack. if its a week base at 75k, I wont use my whole army, so the gain is basically the same. Usually go 2 healers, 20 giants, 40 archers, 20 barbs, 4 wall breakers and either some goblins or a wizard.

I'm doing some farming now. Only use 100 goblins and 100 barbs. I figure if it costs around 16,000 elixir to make, then I try to get at least 75,000 each time I attack. I'll use as many as it'll take.

Still not extremely thrilled all the costs continue to increase but gold and elixir output is pretty minimal in the end. It takes forever to upgrade anything these days. I'm sitting on 3 builders snoozing away. Boring.

I think it depends on how far along you are on your TH level. I know for the first week or two after upgrading, my builders are constantly going. Now I have 1 builder always upgrading resources. 1 on wall detail. 1 on defense upgrading. and 1 to fill in whenever.

I'm waiting to upgrade to TH9. Things come along soooooo slooooooow since I have to stockpile gold and elixir. The rate at which everything can be "harvested" is extremely slow and unproportionate to how much it everything rises in cost.

As well as, when I'm trying to save up, I constantly get raided and lose everything daily. I've been trying to save dark elixir and cannot get near 10,000 because I lose nearly 1,000 everyday. I try to upgrade as much as I can, as often as I can, but I'm stuck now since everything is so costly.

Make sure you use a farming base layout when you are trying to save up mass amounts. Put the TH outside your walls so you have a better chance of someone sniping it for trophies and you get the 12 hour shield. Keep your storages in separate compartments so attackers have to work harder to get to all of them.

TH10 is just 3 days away for me!

Currently just stocking up gold and elixir, just doing 1 day builds the next 3 days (air mines, bombs, etc), so that I can dump any extra loot into lego walls. I finished all my skulls and I'm up to 23 legos..

I also have 1mil gold and 1mil elix in clan castle loot, so I should be all set. The plan is Inferno Tower, Xbow, Lab, Spells, DE drill, then the 2nd inferno as soon as I have the gold for it.

Th 7 coming soon. Takes forever to get all upgraded.

New update today. New trap called skeleton trap. Can be set to ground or air targets.

same here.

The update was pretty cool, imo. The skeleton traps will add a new dimension to war attacks especially at a higher level...Luring the clan castle is a big part of raids, so having to deal with a potential extra 12 skeletons will be a headache.

More loot from wars and more loot from league wins is also a big improvement, those league win bonuses will add up a lot over time.

New mortar is cool from a defense perspective, but going to be a headache for people who barch a lot...currently upgrading mine probably non-stop..

TH10 is treating me OK....The loot penalty absolutely sucks (big penalty when attacking an TH8 or below). I've still managed to do a lot of the big upgrades, just having to spend a lot more time farming lately.

I know some of you are up to this point yet, but a glimpse into your possible future if you stick with the game long enough to get to upper TH9/TH10.

Check out these attacks, this is the stuff I'm trying to replicate now since I'm mostly facing TH10's in clan wars.

Is it me or are the available loots decreases after this update? I searched for 15 minutes till I finally gave up and attacked. Usually can strike gold at least once every few minutes.

I finally got to TH10 about six months ago, and I think I've kind of regretted it because of the stupid penalty.

This has been the case for every update with me...If you can get on within the first few hours of the maintenance break ending you can hit it big. I was on from 9am - 10:30am EST the day of the update as soon as the update ended, and even with the TH10 penalty every search was was 500k total resources...I made 4mil gold and 4mil elix in 90 minutes.

But, after the initial rush things are usually dry for about 1-2 weeks after the update. People who have gone away from the game come back to see what the update is all about, then they slowly go away and the loot gets decent again.

Luckily I had nearly all defenses and any troops I wanted maxed for TH9, I didn't realize how much I relied on barching TH8's in the gold 2 or gold 3 levels.

I'm moving up to Crystal 2 or Crystal 1 right now, especially with the increased loot bonus I'm thinking that may be the sweet spot for TH10 farming.

Agreed. I was in Master 3 a couple weeks ago and started farming. Fortunately, most people really have just been sniping the TH, as there aren't too many people at that level just farming with an unexposed TH, and since most others at that level are actively pursuing trophies. So far, it's working well. I've been letting my base just sit most days and collecting the next day.
