In the last two days, I've gotten repeat gifts from both of my trees. Yesterday was one present, today each tree had two presents.

With barracks being just 1 green gem to boost, you could absolutely rake in the dough right now

I used yesterday to get my trophies up a little bit and am planning on looting this evening.

Yes.

All of my elixir upgrades are pretty much done, so I'm boosting all reg camps + spell factory and cooking balloonion all day (roughly 30 loons, 40 minions)...

I've done 3 boost sessions at work since it takes like 15 minutes to cook...75K de total profit in those sessions.

You're not sticking with using the lava hounds with the balloonion? Why is that?

Don't the balloons cost you a ton of Elixir? When I loot i try and stay away from anything but goblins archers and barbs

Farming, I don't use lava hounds because I'm primarily focusing on upgrading heroes right now...AQ 20 is 100k and BK 13 is like 60k, and I'm doing both every other week (in our "off" week from wars). We are off for 2 weeks so I'm hitting them hard back to back.

I still use 3-4 hounds in war attacks when it calls for it, but for farming I try to use a ton of balloons and only 30-40 minions...I target bases with 2,500+ DE, and do that once every 2 hours or so, raking in like 10-15k per day just raiding once every few hours, and I get 7200 per day from drills. I've been sniped 30+ straight times, so breaking shield isn't a big deal since I maxed out inferno towers and all x-bows are level 3, in the core.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned being pretty much done with elixir upgrades...I can throw away elixir...Otherwise, you are right, heavy on balloons is expensive and prob not viable for some people. In that case, I would go with more like 18-20 loons, and the rest minions.

Ah, gotcha. My heroes are currently just sitting at 11 each. I'm focusing primarily on maxing out defenses now, so gold is what I'm primarily trying to farm. Since I go with 4 maxed hounds and 20 maxed minions, I use 2,160 DE with each attack. I hope to cover my losses with each attack, but with all three DE drills maxed, I can afford to fudge on it some, particularly if I come across a base with a big, fat payday in gold.

I don't have Inferno Towers maxed yet (level 2), but my X-Bows are level 3 like yours. I get sniped almost exclusively, as long as I stay out of the crystal league, though even into it, the attacks are usually for a pretty heavy elixir loss, and a nominal gold and DE gain.

My hounds to 3 finished a few days ago and minions maxed finish in 8 days, can't wait.

These guys have Lev 40 heroes, but I'm toying around with attacks like theirs...Use heroes to disable AQ and 1 Air Defense....Use hound and loons to disable another AD and pull and kill CC with a balloon to the head, then rush with remaining 2 hounds and loons.

I raided pretty good last night, but my builders are too busy. wont have another free 1 until tomorrow. I hate getting more resources than I need so I don't attract too much attention and get raided myself!

Everything but walls and one air defense are maxed out. Do I update the air defense now or go to town hall 9 and do it after

You might as well do the air defense now then do a th upgrade.

I've found it easiest to max out everything before leveling up the TH. The higher your TH, the less loot you'll get for attacking the same base.

I would do pretty much everything you can, keep in mind the TH upgrading time (without checking I think it might be 10 days for TH9?), so you still can get some things done while the TH upgrades.

I normally go by the upgrade everything before moving up TH rule, but TH8 to TH9 is an exception, IMO.

You get more spells, additional 20 troop space, and more defenses that make you less likely to get stomped (TH8 you are helpless). The loot penalty is not too bad at TH9, TH10 is where it starts to really hurt...

Also, you get level 5 hogs at TH9, which is the most important troop in the game, IMO (if you are into wars).

Ive been using GoWipe pretty successfully in wars....I will have to look into the lvl 5 hogs though.

Gowipe is an easy 2 star, rarely a 3 star.

Adding hogs/loons/witches brings it to a more likely 3 star raid.
