Love the hypocrisy by ESPN on this gurley situation.
They're trying to defend him by saying how much these universities make off them, so why not allow him to make a few bucks off his autograph? Oh, and he OOOONLY took $8 a signature!! Riiiiight.
It's a bullshit rule and what they are saying isn't wrong. But when Pryor and some OSU players get a few free tattoos in exchange for autographs, they absolutely ripped them.

there isnt a lot details at the moment. so would you expect the media to rip Georgia for a cover up that they have no knowledge of at this point? we do know that OSU tried to cover it up. also one be naive to believe that it was merely tattoos that were being traded. I expect a compliance department to spend a few seconds a day to check ebay for signatures of their star athlete. Also, Tressel lied to the NCAA and was rightfully punished for doing so. I don't believe the school covered up the that whole ordeal.
