Troll job? Guess if you don't like getting beat all the time you drop them and find someone else. They probably should have found someone they could beat, though.sherm03;1650352 wrote:Notre Dame with a great troll job on Michigan today as they announce a home-and-home series with Ohio State 2022 and 2023. LOL. Butthurt Michigan fans are butthurt. Your boys struggled with Notre Dame last year with probably the worst QB in the history of college football under center for the Irish. Otherwise it would have been 2 straight wins for the Irish and an even series under Kelly. With the way the landscape is shaping up...the only people that would make fun of ND for dropping Michigan but keeping Michigan State are Michigan fans.WebFire;1650414 wrote:Troll job? And yes, it's a pretty good troll job. "Hey, it's the last time we're going to play Michigan again for the foreseeable future. How much does it bother ND that we're dropping Michigan? Not at all. So little in fact that we'll just go ahead and announce a series with their biggest rival that is a much better team than they are." Troll level: epic.

I hate allowing ND into the Shoe and giving them a spotlight in the greatest stadium in the country and recruiting tool to lure unspecting student athletes onto their campus to either be killed by the coach or raped by priests. Its a travesty, another black eye for Smith...oh wait, he's already got black eyes.

LOL. ND lost the last 4 out of 5 during arguably the worst stretch of Michigan football since it's existence. Then they cowardly (yes, the way they did was cowardly) cancel a long time rivalry series. No butt hurt here. Just laughing. Can't wait to end the series with a W.sherm03;1650449 wrote:LOL. You got blown out. ND hasn't done shit since I've been born other than have cry baby fans who think they are god's gift to college football. I'm not sticking up for Michigan, Michigan is the trash of the Earth but would still beat the living fuck out of ND year in year out. Enjoy your little Ceasers pizza bowl this year; hope it doesn't get vacated.sherm03;1650454 wrote:Been to the championship game recently? Nice of you to stick up for Michigan though. Fair enough. I would disagree with it being "cowardly." With the history between the programs and the fact that the series went into long stretches of not playing, they were a good choice to drop. Along with that, if it weren't for Michigan, Notre Dame would have been in the Big 10 a long time ago and this wouldn't even be an issue.WebFire;1650478 wrote:LOL. Neither Michigan nor Notre Dame have "beat the living fuck" out of each other at all over the last few years. The games have all been pretty close (2007 was the last time either team beat the living fuck out of the other with Michigan winning big and then in 2008 with Notre Dame winning by 18). The last 5 games have been decided by a TOTAL of 30 points. But good try.sleeper;1650491 wrote:You got blown out. That's right. I forgot that was a requirement to be a fan of a team. What if you were like me and went to a school that didn't have a football team? Oh ya, I'm supposed to be an OSU fan because they are in Ohio and that's where my parents happened to do it and give birth to me.Automatik;1650500 wrote:Don't forget about 3% of their fanbase actually attended ND. An AD having a letter delivered to the other AD before a kickoff is cowardly. Couldn't even do it in person.sherm03;1650501 wrote:Fair enough. I would disagree with it being "cowardly." What has ND accomplished in the last 20 years of football?Neither Michigan nor Notre Dame have "beat the living fuck" out of each other at all over the last few years. 0-4 in BCS bowls losing by an average of 25 points per game.
NCAA record 9 game bowl losing streak
NCAA record 10 year deal for a failed coach who never won anything
Close loss to to USC
Heisman Runner up Brady Quinn
Academic scandel
Manti-Teo's fake girlfriend
Declan Sullivan death swept under the rug
ZERO CHAMPIONSHIPS
ZERO HEISMANS
ND football. Joke of a program.

I see what you mean. I would agree that's a shitty way to do it. But I also have to think that at the time ND's AD was handling a lot of shit with the ACC move and maybe wasn't able to do it face to face?WebFire;1650503 wrote:An AD having a letter delivered to the other AD before a kickoff is cowardly. I went with your implication. And my response was done that way because typical OSU fans have said that same shit my entire life. I guess then I don't know what you meant by your post and would question why that would even make a difference?Automatik;1650506 wrote:Where did I say it was a requirement? Yes. And thank you to OSU for being the only team not to score 40+ on Notre Dame in a BCS bowl and also allow more than 14 points or that average could have been worse.sleeper;1650511 wrote:What has ND accomplished in the last 20 years of football?

Link to it being a record? While I agree that Weis sucked and shouldn't have gotten the extension that he did, I'd like to know the criteria for that in the record books.sleeper;1650511 wrote:NCAA record 10 year deal for a failed coach who never won anything
