Michigan Offered Harbaugh 6 years, 48m.

Damn, you almost can't turn that down.

I expect NFL teams to give him the same, and he don't have to worry about recruiting. At this point though, Michigan better hope they get him or they're screwed.

I bet Oakland matches and his wife gets to keep her view of the Golden Gate Bridge instead of a view somewhere in Ann Arbor. It's really a no brainer.

Oh I Agree, it'll all depend on his motivation. I don't see him wanting to play kiss ass to a bunch of 17 y/o kids anymore.

I wouldn't say a match is a foregone conclusion. If someone matched, that would already make him the highest paid NFL coach. The NFL average is 4.8 for a head coach. Not every franchise would do this. Al Davis might, but unless he gives Jim full control, I'm not sure he wants to coach for him.

He hasn't been happy with that expectation for a while now.

If he signs this offer I will be 3/4 thus far in my predictions. So far I've got 2 right. The last two were the toughest though.

Not disagreeing, but on the other hand he is getting canned (regardless of how this plays out, he is being canned) by an NFL team when he has turned them around and made them a contender. It's no secret that his style was starting to rub the wrong way on these whiney rich players.

Yep...these rumblings were in place a while ago. He stays in contact with several former teammates who have said as much

Of course, that doesn't mean Harbaugh won't stop trying in the NFL. I still don't think this ends well for Michigan, but if it does, you'll probably hear me whooping and hollering no matter how far away you are.

Uhhh OK.

It wasn't about Hoke getting fired. It was about Hoke getting fired, the AD getting "fired", Harbaugh being hired and Manuel becoming the AD. It was the timing of the information I posted and the resistance to it being offered as fact.

Stating that I'm 50% accurate isn't a pat on the back. Maybe I'll do that if I get to 75% or 100%. Lot's of things need to fall into place first. There's still some obstacles to overcome but alumni have been impressively influential in these events.

They don't make people much more toxic than Pelini.

He created an us vs. them culture between the team and the fans/administration. His list of tirades in his short time there is impressive to say the least. There is a reason a bigger school probably won't touch this guy for a very long time.

I think it was noted that his contract didn't have a non-disparagement agreement in it, but man that would be AMAZING if they found something somewhere that made his comments cost him all of that money.
