I have seen pictures of some Russian troops with their magazines removed. Rest assured it was done for propaganda purposes only and the magazines are just a quick reach into their ammo pouch. I don't think it's for propaganda. Putin is smarter than many want to give him credit for. Another thing to note many have been ordered or feel the need to conceal their identity. I am going with the former. Its not that cold in Crimea. Something shitty is afoot.

No doubt he would sacrifice troops to get someone else to fire the first shots.
