An older guy who worked at the hospital before my time had worked there for a long time. Years and years. He ended up getting the same job at a closer hospital. I don't think he told anyone to fuck off, but he didn't leave two weeks notice. Just called in and said he was never coming back. Talk about burning bridges, because by doing that, he will never be hired again by a Premier Health hospital in Dayton, which encompasses 4-5 hospitals, total. So he better hope he likes his job there because it'd be tough to get hired again.

I worked at Target for a few months in college. They were notorious for scheduling me during exams even though I'd request that time off.

They did it again and I found the bitchy supervisor and told her I quit. She warned me that Target would never rehire me, so I laughed and went home.

Back jn my pipelining days I was working in Columbus. The company needed some hands to go to Cincy to work for a couple of months to help get caught up, so I said what the hell, I'll go. Stayed in a hotel all week, come home on the weekends. 2 months had turned into 10 so far, and those of us that volunteered to go were pissed. 3 weeks before my wedding when I had tux fittings, laat minute bullshit to deal with, they come up to us and told us we were going to start working weekends for awhile. Told them to fuck off after they tried that shit.

Lol Yea that would really help but most threads on this site are either bitching about someone or making fun of them. Its pretty old and I really give a fuck less to read it again for the ten billionth time.

Depends on the position, it might just be good business. I don't want someone with access to my company's IP and other secure information/items that's not really invested in the organization (which someone leaving for another one in two weeks probably won't be). If that's not a concern with the position then getting rid of them the day they turn in their two weeks is just an asshole move.

My boss has said multiple times that if I turn in my notice, he would probably get rid of me same day. I don't really get that mentality, since it would be a huge help to him if I trained my successor. When I started, my boss had been on his own for almost a month, and it was basically a disaster here. I had to try to learn the job from him (not the greatest teacher) while also fixing mistakes that popped up. My only guess as to why he would fire me on the spot is that he tends to take things very, very personally. I cancelled on drinks once because we were originally supposed to go at 2:30, but by the time he was ready to go, it was 4:30. I had stuff to do that evening and didn't have time since he ran so late. He was super upset and made me out to be the worst person ever.

Your boss sounds like a butt hurt bitch. He decides to let you go immediately, then it benefits you anyway. Seriously question though, why do you still work for him? I am surprised if you haven't looked for a new job.

One thing I've learned over the year's, women love to complain. If you're in a relationship with a woman and don't occasionally give her something to complain about with her friends, you wont be in that relationship much longer.

I actually have it pretty good here. Hours are great, commute is good, money is good. I got a fairly significant raise plus health benefits last year. There is potential for a partnership down the line. It's miserable and I hate it at times, but then other times I realize how fortunate I am. It's very love/hate.

I am not really complaining about him letting me go if I quit, or the whole drink thing. Just an example of him being sensitive.

Finding a new job isn't that easy.
