I think Leach's options would be greater than OC at Central Michigan.

Texas A&M may be looking for a new Coach soon. Leach would love to get to play Tech I would think.

I was saying CMU's head coach position. That is the only other head coaching spot open right now. I could see a major program hiring him as an OC if he doesnt get a HC job

Tech's Chancellor's comments during half time of the Nebraska-Arizona game were very interesting.

this whole story is becoming more interesting by the minute because action has been taken without the whole story actually being known

Wait.....

This isn't the same Texas Tech University that rolled out the red carpet for a basketball coach that had recently been fired for choking a player(again) is it?

Yeah...I'd be down for hearing Bobby Knights off the record comments on the situation.

Talk about an instant classic.

I'm hoping he is on the broadcast team for a college basketball game soon. I'd imagine Leach's situation would be brought up at some point during the game and it would be entertaining to hear Knight's take on it on live television.

For right now I'm on Leach's side. I guess as more facts come out this could get more interesting.

Leach, I've always thought, was a little crazy. Now confirmed.
Still, he and his teams were always entertaining.
Best comment was from his lawyer, describing Craig James as a 'helicopter parent.'
lol ... I guess he was constantly hovering around practice.

Last years TT - QB who graduated says James kid has been a pussy who thinks he deserves special treatment since he got on campus 2 yrs ago. Thanks Tech for further validating the demise of how coaches control a team. Youth sports have already been destroyed, HS sports are quickly becoming the same and now college ranks. Parents need to sit in the stands and let the coach do his job and STFU!

Interesting you now have players stating --on record--- they agree with the decision of the university:

Wide receiver Tramain Swindall said he supported the decision to fire Leach.
"I do agree and I'm supporting Adam and what he's doing because it's the right thing to do," Swindall told the AP in a telephone interview.
Swindall said that Leach was sometimes out of line with how he treated players.

I hope some actual "starters" come out on the record. Bench warmers always have an axe to grind with the coach and their parents are worse.

Other players have supported Leach. When you have 100 guys on a roster, you will always be able to find guys who like and others who don't. So, I'm not surprised that a few players will come out against Leach.

As for the James kid, he's a PUSSY! And he made a video with his phone? I lost all respect for not only him, but also his dad. I hope someone on the team kicks his ass.

If he had a cell phone why didn't he just call Daddy and tell him to come rescue him from the big bad boogy man?

Well duh obviously a player here and there is going to have a problem with the coach and support decisions like this. Just like even the most well liked teachers, bosses, politicians, etc. have those that do not like them for whatever reason. I think it's more telling the large numbers of players and coaches, both past and current, that have not only come out to support leach, but have had some harsh things to say about James.

Totally agreed. He was in there for 3 hours and couldn't call a professor, classmate or anyone(assuming his dad wasn't available). Instead he decides to take video of it. Doesn't make sense.

What former/current players have to "say" about Leach and James is probably irrelevant.

Anyone can walk into an electric closet and video. How do we know that is the same closet? This sounds like someone wasn't getting enough attention.

For what it's worth, TTU's senior starting center blasted Leech and said that "everybody" in the locker room was happy about him being gone.

From what's being said in Lubbock, it seems like this may have just been used as an excuse to fire Leech, who, while knowing the game of football, had no idea how to deal with people.
