the BG Falcons head to the Blue Turf in Boise to take on the Vandals tomorrow.... two 7-5 teams that I haven't gotten a chance to see play this year. Looking at sheer numbers though I like BG in this one. Any thoughts?

It is going to be a tough game and very hard to predict. BG has been hot while Idaho has dropped their last 3 games I think.

Basically a home game for Idaho should be a scoring fest though.

Should be a cold one that's for sure... they were giving out winter hats and gloves as bowl gifts... should have given out parkas

Idaho's defense is more suspect than BG's. Barnes will dominate this game.

as much as i hope BG wins for the MAC, i think this is gonna be a blowout win for idaho.

my pick in ESPN Bowl Mania is Idaho, but I don't have many confidence points on it.

BG is on a roll, while Idaho is stumbling. But they are playing in their home state even though nowhere near their school. I'll go with BG but I may be biased being a BGSU grad.

I'm going to live or die with the Falcons and I have assigned about a zillion confidence points in my poll entry for this game. Sometimes you have to get off the porch if you want to play with the Big Dogs! BG gave up 49 to Boise early and I think that BG is a better team now than they were then. The Vandals gave up 61 or 62 to Boise recently and if BG can't score enough with Sheehan and Barnes alone to outscore Idaho, they shouldn't be in the Bowl to begin with. (of course, I'm a shade prejudiced here, as I like BG and I've gone way out on a limb regarding the confidence points I have given.) We'll see. I don't think I'll watch this one at home. I think my local establishment would be better for me, as well as my wife.

Wonder what would be a bigger hit: Humanitarian Bowl or Potato Bowl?

Kind of suprised this game has lasted as long as it has; most schools lose money on it, and they can't make any money unless Boise or Idaho is playing in the game... Boise isn't necessarily a vacation destination

Freezin' the Falcons can handle. Also, I must speak in defense of Idaho as a vacation spot. (Not this time of the year for sure!), but there are some really beautiful parts of Idaho in the Snake River Canyon and up around Lewiston and points north, particularly the Couer D Alene region and in the area of the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. I wouldn't go to Idaho in December either. You're right Darby, but I had to stand up for my cousin's adopted home State.

And as a side note, what a job this year by coach Clawson...this is a BG team that many experts were saying and probably justified given last year's struggles, and a first year head coach, would finish last or next-to-last in the their division. Yet here they are, had a solid year in conference, making it to a bowl game, and got all this extra practice time in. Looking like a very smart hire for the Falcons at this point. As someone mentioned earlier, they got drilled by Boise State earlier this year, and they should have; they're not ready to compete with a team like that this year; but I think if he is given enough time to recruit and get some players, BG will be highly competitive with all the teams they play, especially in the MAC.

^^^Well...I have the over...rather be sitting where you are . For all the hype on these quarterbacks...they both played like pure shit in the first half. Idaho gives up 45 points per game. Sheehan acts like he's never played the position before.

Something tells me this is going to be one hell of a finish for one of the "smaller" bowl games. 28-21 Idaho up right now with about 3 left to go in the 3rd.
