3-5" seems more likely to me.

Where are you flying out of? I've seen anywhere from less than an inch up to 3" of snowfall for our area.

No it is the sweetest wine out there. At least in my wine experience. I have not had a dry Riesling. All the wineries I have been too, Riesling was the sweet stuff.

There are dry Rieslings, and I prefer them over the sweet ones. But you are right, the majority of Rieslings, the common ones especially, are sweet. Isn't Chardonnay dry?

Moscato is sweeter.

Yes, usually one of the driest, if not THE driest, white wines. Here is a list of all wines:

There won't be widespread 6-8". 4-6" maybe.

We got a "winter storm warning" for this? There is hardly any wind at all.

I think it's going to end up a light snow for many hours instead of getting dumped on hard for a couple minutes.

Yeah storm intensified. I'll take it.

Also, talk of a storm right before Christmas to keep an eye on.

Warning doesn't have to have wind. It needs ONE of the following criteria...

  • Blizzard…
Sustained winds or frequent gusts > 35 mph AND considerable falling and/or blowing snow frequently reducing visibility < ¼ for > 3 hours (Blizzard conditions need to be the predominant condition over a 3 hour period)
  • Heavy Snow…
6 inches averaged over a forecast zone in a 12 hour period
9 inches averaged over a forecast zone in a 24 hour period
  • Ice Storm…
½ inch or greater accretion of freezing rain in any zone
  • Wind Chill…
Wind chill index less than -30°F for at least 3 hours with a sustained wind of at least 5 mph.
  • Winter Storm…
Winter weather event having more than one predominant hazard {ie. heavy snow and blowing snow (below blizzard conditions), snow and ice, snow and sleet, sleet and ice, or snow, sleet and ice} meeting or exceeding warning criteria for at least one of the precipitation elements.

Get any snow? Ben Gelber was talking this morning about the extreme I-70 line and that southern Columbus wouldn't get much.

What meteorologist are you listening to because all the local ones here called for rain this afternoon

As recently as last night, they were predicting 2-4" for most of the area. We have well under 1" here.
