Now I can give some reasons to back this decision....BUT

The temperature tomorrow at 6:00-7:00 am when most kids get on the bus is supposed to be 9 degrees.....2 hours later it's supposed to be 7 degrees.
That's dumb, we never delayed unless it was supposed to be below zero. Hopefully you do not close, with the expected bad winter we will see there will be plenty of snow days

e/ Weather reports are saying "light snow" and that is a disappointment.
Just multiply the liquid precipitation by the ratio to get your snow forecast. So if you are forecast to get .5" of liquid precip, a 10:1 ratio would give you 5" of snow. 12:1 would be 6". The "average" that is most commonly used is 10:1.

Zero chance of closing. Our district is 43 miles wide with the high school on the far western side. Our first kids get on the bus at 5:56 am....the elementary kids get off the bus at 7:20 and high school at 8:00.

I have no clue....but we are 43 miles wide E-W but not wide at all N-S. the kids (about 1/6-1/8 of our district) on the far eastern side are closer to 10 other high schools than the one they attend. No one wants them.

nobody wants them? I don't know if I've ever heard of that. Anyways, I believe its Switzerland of Ohio (one I am from) at 546 square miles.

Where do you find those numbers?

Vinton County (Vinton) and Logan (Hocking) are the only schools in their counties....theirs have to be up there I'd guess.

Trivia: Do you know the other of the 3 counties that have 1 school?

Honestly I thought it was Graham because of all the farm land= 185 square miles is what I find.

Holmes has 2 (West Holmes, Hiland/East Holmes). I think Hocking County is barely clipped by one of the Athens County districts too (N-Y?) giving them 2

I believe Morgan County is a 1 district county.

3-6" for northern Ohio. I'll take it this early in the season.

Not happy with the timing of this storm. Have one of my best games on my schedule slated for this weekend, and this storm brings the possibility of a cancellation.

As long as my flight to Tampa leaves on time on Saturday...I don't really care what happens.

It probably won't, sorry but too much snow. Overall expect snows of 4-8" with from just north of Columbus to the southern border getting 4" and lower as you go south. Highest amounts possible in NW Ohio, around Findlay and Lima I think
