Problem here was it peaked in Detroit, less than halfway into the movie.

Ghostbusters. Eh, I didn't think it would be any good and I was right. I don't get the praise it's receiving from the critics. I left after about 30 mins.

I have never left a movie early. Agree..it wasn't that great and didn't want to see it but it was the only one in our time frame.

I thought it was, interesting, how they had that black chick in the movie. There was some "controversy" years ago that the black dude in the original got a lot of his scenes cut and he wasn't happy and made a big stink about it.

It's 2016. It should not be interesting for a black actor to have a role in a movie.

Didn't mean it that way. I meant that because in the original that same role was severely cut out of the movie and he was pissed about it that this time they made sure the lady would have a prominent part.
Don't think that didn't come into the producers mind.

I'm surprised anyone would give Leslie Jones a role in a movie.

Think ya need to see the previous one that he wasn't in to know whats going on?

Saw this trailer yesterday. Hacksaw Ridge. Always a sucker for "true" military movies. http://www.hacksawridge.movie/

Probably not, but I would watch them before going. I love them all, even the so so one with Jeremy Renner.

Took my wife to see Bad Moms and it was actually hilarious. Kind of predictable so not a 9 or 10 but easily a 7/10.

Mrs. Hits and I saw Star Trek Beyond. It was okay...a good watch especially if you like Star Trek (which we do). I can't say it knocked my socks off. 6/10.

Agreed after that point it felt a little cramped and rushed. When you think about it, they had a tremendous amount of ground to cover....but, for the most part, they did it justice.

Basically they tried to jam 3 biographies (Eazy-E, NWA and Dre) into one movie. Problem is you can't tell one story without getting into some detail on the other two.

It was already a pretty long movie, but probably needed to be longer and split into two movies. Of course, then it never gets made.

Was looking on Netflix this weekend to watch a movie with my kids (9 &10) and I see E.T. is on there. I ask them if they had ever seen it and both say no. So I say we got to watch it. At the beginning they both think it is kind of weird and ask why are we watching an old show. By the end they were loving it and asked if they made an E.T. #2. Made me think -wonder why they did not make a remake with all this other remake crap they do!

Jason Bourne- 6.5/10. All of them (minus Renner's) seem to run together for me. Same thing every movie. I also don't like Matt Damon as a person and a lot of the stuff he stands for...so I could be a bit bias.

Demolition- 7.5/10. Jake Gyllenhaal doesn't get enough credit. He does a really good job playing a range of characters, especially in this movie.

Seems like there are some pretty good movies coming out soon. Saw the previews for Snowden, Hacksaw Ridge, and The Accountant over the last day or so, and they all look like solid films.

Suicide squad is getting terrible reviews. That's disappointing.

Im stoked for Hawksaw Ridge. Gonna try to read the book, assuming there is one, before seeing it. Sucker for "true story" military movies.

Thereis one with Vin Diesel coming out too, Billy Lynn's long halftime walk. Not sure if that is a true story......don't think so

Agreed. I had such high hopes for it, but I'm now hesitant to even see it.

I was pumped for suicide squad until they made it pg13 and the first couple previews made it seem so incredibly corny. I'll pass.

PG13?

That's retarded. Didn't they see how great Deadpool did?

Yeah I'm probably just going to wait to see Suicide Squad until it hits the $1 theater. I've read some really bad reviews. Sucks because I was really looking forward to it.

The original (1978?) I Spit On Your Grave.

A good wholesome movie for the entire family!

It's a good indication of how tame movies generally are today that this might be the first film in forever that made me cringe inside in that "what did I just get myself into?" sort of way. It's no cinematic marvel, or even particularly good by most definitions of the word, but it definitely is raw and attention-grabbing.

5.5/10
