And that the homeless guy from the first makes a brief appearance as a member of the anti-purge resistance movement.lhslep134;1705815 wrote:Gotcha. Fyi, there's no connection between the two other than the concept of the purge itself.

I loved it, too. Miles Teller is one of my favorite actors.Commander of Awesome;1706183 wrote:Whiplash 8.5/10

Has anyone watched "Birdman?" I didn't scroll all the way back through this, but am curious.
Obviously won or was nominated for a bunch of awards...but Howard Stern basically said the movie was shit. So I am reluctant to watch.

I haven't watched, but it has a great cast and an 8.1 rating on imdb. I will check it out.SnotBubbles;1706203 wrote:Has anyone watched "Birdman?" I didn't scroll all the way back through this, but am curious.

Yeah, the majority of the reviews have been very positive. The people I know who have seen it all really liked it, so I plan to watch it soon.FatHobbit;1706204 wrote:I haven't watched, but it has a great cast and an 8.1 rating on imdb. I will check it out.

Not saying it isn't or won't be good but imdb's ratings are shit when a movie is released. They are almost all high. At least two points above other site's reviews.FatHobbit;1706204 wrote:I haven't watched, but it has a great cast and an 8.1 rating on imdb. I will check it out.
I pay attention to metacritic because it's a mean score of all review sites.

Interstellar. Visually pretty awesome, just way over my head in most of the dialogue. 7/10

St. Vincent 6/10...seemed like a version of Gran Torino without the racism. The acting was good, the plot was old.
Chef 8/10...really enjoyed it.

Lucy 5 out of 10. Johanssen did a good performance, but the script was weak. In some respects, a really poor Matrix rip-off.

Aptly put. It was like Limitless and the Matrix had an ugly baby.gut;1706478 wrote:Lucy 5 out of 10. Johanssen did a good performance, but the script was weak. In some respects, a really poor Matrix rip-off.

Scarlett was the only thing that movie had going for it and she's certainly not ugly.O-Trap;1706521 wrote:Aptly put. It was like Limitless and the Matrix had an ugly baby.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 was god awful.
Buuuuut Bianca Haas naked = WIN. That scene made it worth the price of admission.

Up In the Air - 7.5/10. I enjoyed it. I had no idea that one of my all time faves Danny McBride was in it.

The Normal Heart - 9/10. Amazing performances. Once again, the main negative has nothing to do with the movie itself. How scary and sad it must have been to go through that.
PS I'm obviously being very productive this weekend.

The judge. 7.5/10. Robert Downey Jr was really good, had a couple over the top moments. Overall, pretty good.
