great range as an actress from Winter Bone, Hunger Games I and II, Silver Lining Playbook to the character in American Hustle. Amy Adams is great and really sexy in the movie. Christian Bale range is something from Batman to this guy.Automatik;1557192 wrote:Might check this over the weekend...love Jennifer Lawrence.

Hobbit - 8/10
Compared to the first - 15/10
Loved how they left it, with Smaug on his way to the lake town.

Watched Clue the other night bc I was watching a movie that had Colleen Camp in it, and in searching up some information on her saw she was in the movie Clue.

First half of the movie was decent enough, 6/10. Dragged on a little too long and I got bored. Turned it off. 11/10 for Yvette though. She has a great personality. 2 of them.

New film: Elysium: eh, around a 5 out of 10. After District 9 perhaps expectations were too high.
Old film: Elf, holiday classic. That is an 11 out of 10. Regardless of what people think about Ferrell, it is hard to go wrong with that.
Looking forward to see Prisoners and possibly Kick Ass 2.

Inside Llewyn Davis
Solid entertaining film, but not oscar worthy which I was hoping for. I'd still recommend it and enjoyed the music.

Over, I'd say a 7/10. Acting was good. Entertaining enough. Not terribly believable, or anything, and there were some plot holes, but it was a shoot-em-up, so it's okay.

The Spectacular Now - 8/10. Really good movie.
Next on the list is Fruitvale Station.

Just saw Wolf of Wall Street. I'd give it a 5/10. It had potential, but was way too long with too little development. Also, it did nothing to show the cost to others of this guy's crimes - like other Scorcesse movies have done. The protaganist claims to tell his story as a cautinary tale. Yet it is a three hour monologue of hooker sex and drugs. That gets old when nothing new ever comes out of if. The acting is good - especially DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and the FBI agent. But shockingly, I found it to be almost boring. Scorcesse's editor ought to be taken behind the shed for failing miserably.

NYC problems. It was a great theatre though...assigned seats, powered recliners. I wanted to see Wolf of Wallstreet or American Hustle, I was overruled.
