Dark Skies...5/10... and yeah, SB, it was just what I thought it was going to be--a Poltergeist wannabe.

Thought it was really good. Definitely the best movie I've seen so far this year and I don't see how it will be topped-although I could see the Steve carell wrestling movie beating it out for me if it lives up to my expectations.

It's almost 3 hours long yet it seems to fly by. And it's so incredibly realistic-there's no "Hollywood" bullshit scenes like 99% of movies have. Just very real moments and genuine acting.

9.5/10

^ I can kind of agree with that however both Insidious movies have provided some decent thrills in the theater.

American Gangster. Based on a true story.

I bought this years ago when it came out and found it in my collection last night unopened. A good number of big names are in it and thought it was a very good movie. 8.5 of 10.
If you like the old time gangster movies i would recommend.

American Gangster was solid, but definitely not as good as the hype / it could have been. Anywhere from 7.5 - 8.5 is probably an accurate grade/scoring.

I dont ever recall it coming out. I only bought it 6-7 years ago because I was getting my niece some girly DVD or CD for her birthday and felt like I also needed some guy movie to carry with it! Was still in its packaging last night. Wish I would have watched the extended version of it instead of what was seen in theatres...but yeah...solid.

Pretty much everyone here has seen it, Major League. Great flick. Been 25 years I believe now. Was in NE ohio two weekends ago and caught a DH of the Akron Rubberducks on Jake Taylor BObble Knee night as they celebrated the 25th anniversary.

Didnt get one as theysaid people lined up outside an hour before the gates opened, but still was cool and just had to watch the movie last week.

Watched The Equalizer and The Skeleton Twins last night.

The Equalizer was amazing. Denzel was 'Denzel bad@$$' at his best. Easily a 9.5 out of 10, maybe even 10. Probably the best suspense movie I've seen since Taken, unless I'm forgetting something which is very possible.

The Skeleton Twins was the g/f's pick. Dark comedy. Pretty good, actually. Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig were hilarious. Luke Wilson also was quite the comedian. Definitely not your typical film, but nonetheless it was nicely done. 7.5-8 / 10 (?).

It's not out yet, but I'm looking forward to Ridley Scott's 'Exodus: Gods and Kings'. That looks badass.

And if one person says, "I bet it won't be accurate," they're getting swiftly kicked in the jimmies.
