We need some play making receivers, not guys who can only catch wide open TD's

No. There was some bad play calling. But bottom line, OSU weakness, as we all know, was exposed yet again. Over all, over 2 seasons, this OSU offense is as good as anyone could want. The issue is on defense. You can't give up 34 pts and expect to win any games. The OSU offense has carried this team for 2yrs. The defense has to step up and win some games at some point. They didn't. That's the bottom line. Offenses can have off games. A good defense is always there, consistent.

No way. I'll find the list later, but OSU has lost something around 15 lb and safety recruits since 2010 due to transfer or injury. One such safety recruit was all conference in the ACC this year, Cash. OSU is 100% rebuilding at safety and LB.

I have to admit, if I had to lose to someone, MSU and Dantonio would be my choice. The guy is a class act, and hell of a coach. He was HUGE and major in 2002 OSU championship.

Auburn is the exact same team Ohio State is. Zero defense. Great running game. Great running QB that can't pass very well. Even Braxton is better passer than Marshall. If MSU is 10 points better than Ohio State, they would be about the same against Auburn, maybe a little closer than that.

No, we need a disciplined defense that doesn't give up big play after big play every game. Offense isn't the issue. Its on the defensive side that OSU has issues. They were young, but didn't show any improvement over the season. Injuries hurt. But everyone deals with that.

Missouri was 12th in defense in the nation and Auburn absolutely manhandled them at will. Hell, Missouri was one of the few SEC defenses that WAS good this year.

Yes, MSU was the top defense, and Ohio State didn't dominate them by any means. Braxton is much better at passing than Marshall.

I'm still trying to figure out how Hyde didn't touch the ball 30+ times tonight...

Because of transfers and injuries OSU was literally playing 1 deep at safety and LB. Sad, but it should get better going forward

How do you run two consecutive QB runs on that last drive? Christ. Hyde should've had 25+ carries.

I'll say this, the only person to show up on D tonight was Joey Bosa. The kid is a fucking monster. All heart that kid is.

Herman outsmarting himself. He did it at NW and the athleticism of the players bailed him out. Against an athletic sound D, the didn't happen

I thought Shazier played well too...our secondary was terrible, but that really wasn't a surprise.

I still say OSU is better than Auburn. Auburn defense sucks and their QB isn't anywhere near Miller. Doesn't matter. Lose early and you can play ur way back into title. Lose late, ur fucked. Legit or not, it is what it is.

Roby played well. They've had him covering 2 zones since Bryant went down and he showed a lot of heart playing on 1 leg late in the game
