The episode where he plays on the shitty high school soccer team is GOAT.
And Kevin isn't half as temperamental as Paul. He was on his period most of the time.

I don't know anyone who gets hbo it show time for movies. It's for the shows. And shameless, house of lies, homeland make it very comparable to hbo.

HBO occasionally has decent movies...a lot of times old ones you've probably seen multiple times, newer releases (which are always WAAAYYYYYY behind Netflix, OnDemand, etc) are ok but far from the best movies.

I think we had this discussion before...if you are the patient type you just get HBO for 1 month each year and binge watch the series you want (which would actually be pretty satisfying). Of course, I keep getting free HBO with my cable promos. I should probably get Showtime for a month or two and binge watch their best series.

I think I'm going to start An Idiot Abroad on Netflix. Had several people tell me how funny it is. Anyone else watch it?

Yeah, I go back and forth on it...but mostly lean towards disappointed.

After the Super Bowl, got caught up on Banshee at my friends, since I was 2 episodes behind.

I learned more about impromptu forced dental work than I ever thought possible.

We're on season 4 (I believe) of Dexter, and John Lithgow is building a coffin. Starting to get interesting. This season was starting to drag on.

Recently binge watched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones and binge read the five books of A Song of Ice and Fire.

If any of you have seen Treme on HBO, I'd be curious as to your opinions. The reviews look good, bu I've never talked to anyone who's seen it.

The reading part definitely would be a binge. I'm partway through them and have to say the reading there is a bit slower than in a lot of books just because of how dense they are. Particularly in the true-to-life aspect of how if a person was great or powerful (or perceived to be so), virtually everyone would name a kid after them, so you have tons of characters with the same name, so a lot of times I'll have to stop and look up online to see which (for example) Walder is being talked about.

I started the first season when it came out. I think I got about 4 episodes in before I lost interest. Not saying it's not good, it just lost my interest quick. I may give it another shot someday.

The books are good, but GRRM just goes way too much into detail. He'll take 20 pages just to describe the settings at a dinner table.

Thanks. I read some good reviews, but the subject doesn't seem interesting on the surface.

I only gave it shot because it was created by the same guy the created The Wire. It's no The Wire.

Did the same thing. Watched a few episodes from the beginning, then stopped. Watched an episode towards the end of the season and just gave up on it. I didn't like any of the storylines and the flow of the show seemed to be boring/slow. That worked in The Wire, but not in treme, at least for me.

I heard this precious season was really good so maybe the plot was better in this season.

Finished season 4 of Dexter, and now into season 5. Real disappointed with them killing off Rita. Kinda made me want to stop watching the show. Does it get better?
