The television station we watch the most shows nothing but retro shows, so it likely skews to a much older demographic than we fall in. Given that we are bombarded by commercials for these things. At first I thought they looked ridiculous but the more I saw the commercial the better they looked to me. I looked them up on amazon and while they are pretty damn expensive the reviews are pretty damn good. I haven't looked into the actual science behind inversion so I'm wondering if this shit actually works? Given the number of reviews I'm guessing it has to be more than a placebo effect. Anyone have any input on these or inversion in general?

My uncle had something like that to hang from in the ceiling of his basement.

He's weird as fuck though.

I have wondered if these things work. I read a ton of good reviews about them but never pulled the trigger on one yet.

I've had mine for a little over two years now and love it.

I had a horrible episode from my lower lumbar degenerative disease (narrowing of the discs) and could barely stand up straight. I could force my self to get on and lay down on my inversion table, I would get immediate relief.

I'm a 100% believer now and the more consistent I'm with using it with exercise and stretches, less back pain I live with.

There's your answer. Like magic weight loss pill combined with diet and exercise. Inversion is a scam.

http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/misleading-ads-for-back-pain-treatment/

"Your heartbeat slows and your blood pressure increases when you remain inverted for more than a couple of minutes — and the pressure within your eyeballs jumps dramatically. For these reasons, you should not try inversion therapy if you have high blood pressure, heart disease or glaucoma."

^^^^ For more than a couple of minutes is the key. I use mine occasionally to just take the weight off of my spine. I only hang fully inverted for 30 seconds or so, allowing my lower back to unwind. I don't hang on it very long as it is uncomfortable, but I have had success with it.

They do work. Your back feels amazing afterwards.

Unfortunately Justin because of your single income situation theirs much more important things you need to spend your money on like new patio furniture.
