Thanksgiving around the corner and time to order the bird.</SPAN>

I’m getting a fresh turkey around 23-25 pounds and I’m also getting a frozen one around 20 -22 pounds. This year I’m preparing two turkeys one will be for Thanksgiving Day (fresh one) and the other is for the day after Thanksgiving, part if the family will be going to the son-in-laws family Thanksgiving dinner … so the next day everyone will be back to my house for dinner. </SPAN>

What the planned arrangement for your family and what size turkey is planned? </SPAN>

This is the first year we won't all be at my parents house. We are all going to my sister's in North Carolina instead. Two 20 pound turkeys. One for roasting, one for deep frying.

I enjoy turkey fresh or frozen but something about cooking a fresh turkey, how the fats make a better tasting gravy is worth the extra cost.

Luckily I don't have to pay for it, I just have to cook it. The SOB is going to cost ~$50.

Not sure how big, but we always have two. One roasted and one Cajun-injected and deep fried. Both are usually pretty good sized.

Mantooth will be cooking us up an 18 pounder with his infrared fryer for our tailgate on Sunday. CAN'T WAIT!
