I assume Justin's "I don't give a fuck about this site" phase is over and he is now back to the " let's make some changes and idgaf if anyone QQ's" phase. Justin's mood swings are pretty predictable based on his approach to this site.

I mentioned it earlier, but the new moderation approach is based on a suggestion sleeper made. It made sense to me so I figured I'd give it a shot. Things seems to be working. No mood swings involved.

For moderators to focus on creating content and driving discussion. At the same time I am going to be more vigilant in removing posts/thread banning for things that truly do add nothing to a thread (see etb's string of "fuck off" posts as an example).

How much are you getting for the amazon purchases and how long does this last? I shop at amazon all the time with my prime membership.

I still think you should do a promotion/relegation system for the mods btw.

2. Thread banning is the best form of moderation, imo. Like_That, I think it was you, suggested it about a year ago as opposed to the infractions. It seems to be working, and I will keep doing that over anything else. Its better than banning someone from the site.

The amazon kickback varies by product type and number of purchases. I just looked up the tracking cookie length for amazon and it's only 24 hours.
