We usually take turns or go in later my job is pretty flexible. We have gotten in to it a couple times over this though.

Kids rarely miss but I often would when my daughter was in school as I had over 100 sick days to use and got paid.....my wife would not get paid.

Now she has a good job and she'll almost always be the one if my son has to miss.
