An area hi skool football team was winning 59-0 and instead of kicking the XP the players called an audible and ran a trick play for a 2 point conversion to win 61-0

How much fault is the coach?....he called for an XP and the kids did the audible themselves but to me the coach is partially to blame. IMO as a coach you emphasize sportsmanship and once the game is in hand the kids know to do nothing that could be considered Busch league.....also the coach should have the respect of his players not to change the call.

All this being said....there could be details to this particular situation.....but to me it's about 85/15 players/coach fault

Enforcer was probably there and likely has more to the story.

Coach should be fired and the kid who called the audible should be jailed.

Lol....what?

I don't care that they scored 61 points....I'm asking how much the coach is to fault for the ridiculous 2 point conversion trick play at the end.

Sydney Lehman tonight in a blowout over Paint Valley, ran their first team offense against the PV freshman in the last minute of the game. Scored a touchdown, then executed an onside kick and recovered. Hopefully they get blown out next weekend.

Ok I'll chime in here since He talking about My Highschool the Trimble Tomcats , 1st off the 2nd team was in and the coach did call for kicking the extra point, but they didn't listen to the coach and Monday at practice the Boys who call the audible will be running a few extra laps. I will say it was nicely executed play, You would think they practice it

Also Tou wanna talk sportsmanship and Busch league, How about the 12 unsportsmanlike penaltys or the fact that Beallsvilles starting QB was ejected from the game for a cheap shot then cursing at the refs!!

A few laps? Obviously the coach didn't care if in his mind a few laps is considered punishment

Meh, the players on the winning team were simply improvising and striving for excellence.

Maybe the coaches should issue lovely pink "I participated" ribbons to the kids on the losing sidelines so their feelings aren't hurt.

Did they run a fake or audible to a normal formation? If they audibled to a normal formation, coach should have called a timeout and chewed their ass.

Yeah, what are people thinking? There's no room for the least bit of sportsmanship, it makes people weak.
