The good ole days as a kid. Walking around town in October at night, smashing unsuspecting pumpkins all over the streets.

Some close calls, a small fire quickly extinguished (was a candle in it and was tossed into dry leaves on the street), and all together good times.

I imagine nowadays that gets ya time in juvy hall or whatever.

Saw a pic on facebook of some woman who made a sign to the person who smashed their 2 year olds pumpkin.

What a bitch......

But anyways...were you guilty?

Saw The Smashing Pumpkins back in 92 and it was a good show.

Oh wait I'm off topic. No I never smashed pumpkins but our pumpkins were smashed a couple of times on our porch. Clean up was not that much fun.

Pretty rude.

Smash your own pumpkins if you feel the need.

Yup, but just once. The owner chased us down to the the field at the end of our dead end street (yeah, we weren't very smart), took us back to our house and had us fess up to our parents. Picked up what was left of the pumpkin, and had to do yardwork for the guy for @6 hours on a Saturday. Not fun.

My friends and I, as well as my bro and his friends, used to do a lot of pumpkin swiping.

It was a good time. I think one year we all got like 70+ pumpkins from around the county. It required a lot of driving and many rural road miles.

When at WSU I found a pumpkin on a porch in Fairborn that was so large it would not fit through the window of my roomies car.
About the time the trunk closed the porch light came on.

Good times.

Personally I had the most fun stealing yard balls. That was when in Canton though. Tons of white trash people in NEO decorate their double wides with them.

I would rather have my pumkin smashed instead of stolen. At least then I know it was just some kids having some fun and not an older person just stealing it.

What are yard balls?

We would transition from pumpkin smashing to lightbulbing (taking a christmas light out of a strand) in the winter. Back then ya take one light out and many times the whole strand would go out.

We would do this to my neighbor, but replace it with a burnt out bulb.

Hell, can you imagine doing that now?

We always make fun of my brother and his friends. They blew up the neighbors mailbox with a worksbomb in like the late 80's. They stood and watched it happen. Cop came out, and they just agreed to pay for a new one. Imagine they would have been labeled terrorists now!
