In other words...your argument isn't supported by anything other than your own old man mentality that probably leads you to say that everything was better back in the day. I suppose you probably think the NFL was too!

The biggest issue I have today is the lack of an offense. NBA has always been pick and roll and 1-1 game. But it's even more so now. Very little off the ball movement and cutting going on, which is what I love ncaa so much more. But I still like the nba because I love basketball and they are the best of the best. But the lack of an offense league wide is annoying to me.
Of teams I watched last season enough to form an opinion, it seemed like Indy, GSW and the Grizzlies ran anything beyond the typical nba offense.

Not at all. NFL is a much better product than it used to be. Best sport on the planet. Believe me, not everything was better "back in the day." He is getting there. Blame Byron Scott for that. Today's NBA is not nearly as enjoyable to watch as the 80's/90's NBA. Not even close. AAU and all of these guys being best buds has taken the rivalries out of the game, for the most part.

How many November/December games do you remember from the 90s? How distinctly do you remember saying on November 14th, "Man, Jordan is really playing his ass off." Those with a jacked up perspective don't realize they have a jacked up perspective--shocker!

I just don't like it because it's a bunch a cry baby superstars who cry their way into better situations (ie Howard). Other than the cavs I can't really tolerate watching the NBA.
Also, hit me with an /ironman, but the reffing was much better in the 90s. Now you have these 70 year old refs who somehow can run down court and see fouls from a distance with their 70 year old eyes.

NBA doesn't have the shot clock to run "sets". Mostly you'll see systems that are designed to get a quick look which mostly break down into 1 on 1 situations. As far as the league not playing any defense, league average for PPG is actually much lower now than in the 90's. I'll give the last 3 years of league average PPG vs. those years minus 20 years.
2012: 98.1 2011: 96.3 2010: 99.6
1992: 105.3 1991: 105.3 1990: 106.3
So, no defense in today's game? LOL

You could say the lack of defense is due to the length of the season, but there is no denying that defensive intensity lacks during the regular season. The playoffs are a different story though. Call me old school, I just get irked when professionals give off the "fuck it" attitude when it comes to defense. I see it a lot.

That's fine. However please realize this attitude was apparently even more prevalent in the 90's given they allowed 7-10 PPG more than today's players.
