"And even with your assumption, what church has a rule that no one but members of their church are allowed helping in their charitable endeavors?"
All of them? Or any organization, religious or otherwise.

This is simply false. Like, absurdly false. I've been involved with church events that had quite a few non-member volunteers and have been a non-member volunteer at other organizations. I'm not a member of our school's athletic booster club but I've volunteered with them. I have no idea where you're getting this idea that every single group or organization bars any non-members from assisting with their endeavors.Manhattan Buckeye;1525609 wrote:"And even with your assumption, what church has a rule that no one but members of their church are allowed helping in their charitable endeavors?"

English?
I'm pretty sure many clubs control their membership, and the businesses or individuals that deal with them. The Junior League certainly does. And the church my parents attends tend to do things themselves, and don't allow volunteers, since it is their church. I don't agree with all of their teachings, but I respect it.

You just moved the goalpost from "all" to "many". And I wasn't disputing membership in a group being selective, but rather volunteers in charitable endeavors being denied because they aren't a member of the group. That action means that they put group membership as more important than whatever charitable endeavor they're trying to accomplish.Manhattan Buckeye;1525618 wrote:English?
