It's cbf. Anything to make OSU look good. Osu just lost to Wisconsin so the Wisconsin hyperbole was assumed to follow. And comparing them to Kentucky was just on the money.

I do agree that Wisconsin is ahead of Duke, despite the loss. But, also agree with S&L that it was no doubt coming after that game lol

Duke has lost players and in general, the lack of bench has hurt them at times (kudos, though, as they keep winning anyway). If they played again, I would take Wisconsin. Despite Maryland beating them, they look like they are really clicking. Getting Jackson out of the lineup was the best thing to happen to them as Koenig not gets 37+ minutes a game instead of 25 and Dukan has found the floor with the added minutes, and has added a nice versatility.

You are correct, I would put Duke in that category. But I think the style of play that Duke plays, plays into UK hands. Wisconsins grind it out style, execute on offense, work for open shots "could" break down UK. And Kaminksy, as he is with about anyone, is a mismatch and could pull one of the UK bigs away from the basket. Again, would still have to be a perfect storm. To beat UK, they are going to have to be somewhat off, and the other team has to play very well. So ya, I missed Duke. I think they could.

My "little mind" doesn't come up with anything. I just see the obvious and point them out.

Really liked what I saw from Loving tonight. He has been completely out of it since coming back from suspension but tonight was much more alive out there. Scored some around the basket which was nice to see the aggressive play from him. Will need him to continue if they want to make any sort of run this year.

I agree with CBF. Wisky is the only team in my mind that can stop UK. If not them, UK takes it.

p.s - OSU still loses first round (or second). Our front court is terrible. I can't watch Amir or McDonald any longer. I get too pissed off. I hope Anthony LEe is back, soon.

Every time they touch the ball I am expecting a turnover. It isn't worth the risk to let them touch the ball.

There is no question that Loving is the X factor to this team. When he is playing well, making shots...it takes so much off of Russell. Also have to do give kudos to the seniors. Scott, Amir and Thompson all played pretty well last nite.

Russell struggling, OSU down big. Rinse, and repeat.

The Buckeyes are one and done in the NCAA tournament this year. They have no one that can shoot a lick, so whoever they play just has to pack the paint and they have no chance.

Bucks get within 5, and then a SENIOR stupidly fouls on the inbounds and gives MSU to free throws. Can't wait till these seniors are gone.

That's Sparty ball, but I don't think they can overturn it.

Even if they don't call it a kick, it went out off of Thompson.

+1

Effort on defense was fucking terrible, so many easy buckets for MSU.

Wtching OSU play offense is painful..they make every shot seem to difficult. Nothing comes easy to this team. Defensively they just aren't good. They are slow to react and some are simply just lazy.

Right now, I don't have faith in OSU beating any true quality team. To do so, they need Russell to be kick-ass and 2-3 other players to range from very good to very solid as support options. And that just isn't coming close to happening. I mean, they needed Scott to put up 21 and Loving to remember he has been capable of being effective just to beat freaking Minnesota, who definitely does not count as "true quality".

It always stinks when you near the NCAA tournament and realize your bracket demands that you pick against the team you follow immediately. I think I want them playing at about noon Thursday, so I can get them done with and get down to enjoying the rest of the first four days.

Not that it mattered, but it went off the MSU player. Top vantage point showed the ball never bounced oob. It then went off MSU player going oob. I honestly don't know the ruling as far as it hitting Thompson or even what they ended up calling. I am not sure the three stooges really knew either honestly.

Same ole same ole. Effort has been this teams issue all season long. That is until they get down double digits and realize its time to play hard. So frustrating to watch them. They obviously are very average and then when you don't play with effort...the results are what they are.

If a situation would happen in the second round where Ohio State matched up against Iowa State, it would go down in history as the worst first half of college basketball ever played.

Haven't had the chance to see much of VCU. Obviously they are pretty decent, well coached. But as far as a matchup, with their style, tempo, pressing...that could bode well for OSU. They are a better them playing up and down the court than in the half court. Obviously going to be a tough game. Is what it is and OSU got what they deserved as far as seeding goes. Nothing not expected.

I've heard folks say VCU lost a lot on D with Weber, but with the guys who have absorbed the minutes are more potent offensively. When I watched them earlier this year, they struggled to score. Maybe that was just watching them play Virginia.
