So...press them?Classyposter58;1567553 wrote:Matta has never been a big presser because we had basketball teams that only had 6-7 man rotations that would have been dead if they did that for 40 minutes. And also who says it needs to be a press, just do a full court man to man or trap, but a lot of pressure needs to be kept on

lol. Full court anything, including man to man or trap (honestly, thats 2 of 3 things you could do lol), is a press.

I rarely have missed an OSU game either on TV or at the game. And if you watch, Matta/OSU on occasion, do press and do put on token pressure full court. Craft and/or Scott are up the court doing so when the opportunity is there.
Don't get too caught up in what goes on when a team/OSU is down and make a comeback by doing the press. Its the nature of the game that one team with a big lead lets up, and the other team has that sense of urgency. Which then leads to a comeback. Unfortunatley, if we had stats to show, when a team is down big, they rarely end up winning the game.

This offense is so bad against the zone. Not only do we not have anyone that can hit the 3, but we don't have anyone that consistently make a shot in the paint.

Imagine if our offense wasn't mud.

It's so painful to watch us play against the zone... I want to gouge my eyes out.se-alum;1568065 wrote:This offense is so bad against the zone. Not only do we not have anyone that can hit the 3, but we don't have anyone that consistently make a shot in the paint.
At least we had a mini run to close out the half.

Zero confidence that Shannon Scott will ever make a layup when he's on the break. Terrible for a PG to be that bad in transition.

Way too many turnovers for a veteran team. Some of them are just unreal bad by Scott, Craft, and Lenzelle.

What the fuck is going on with Shannon Scott? He isn't aggressive at all like he was a few weeks ago. And these turnovers, fuck man.

Probably not aggressive because he knows he can't make a fucking layup.Terry_Tate;1568102 wrote:What the fuck is going on with Shannon Scott? He isn't aggressive at all like he was a few weeks ago. And these turnovers, fuck man.

And this is blasphemy but is Aaron Craft the most overrated player in college basketball? Great defender, but he does not help this offense at all. I'm a little pissed off tonight.

He's a good distributor though, he came alive at the end of the MSU game but other than that last 10 minutes he hasnt been himself since the game against Nebraska I believe.se-alum;1568104 wrote:Probably not aggressive because he knows he can't make a fucking layup.

He is a good player, nothing to get overly excited about anymore. He has his bright spots on O, but they have become few and far between. Teams have figured out that they don't have to extend out on him.Terry_Tate;1568106 wrote:And this is blasphemy but is Aaron Craft the most overrated player in college basketball? All that being said about Craft, you would be very hard pressed to find a better on ball defender in college basketball. The new rules haven't affected him at all.

Also, where the hell did Lenzelle Smith, Jr. go? Did he not make the trip?
