This week urban told reporters he told the team to embrace their ranking and I told my buddy that to me that was to be mad about it and just play that way.

No im not saying they should be higher.. im just saying that he used it as his motivation to them.

OSU is very good but like I said in another thread, Penn St is just bad.

Again, young and inconsistent. If they had scored on that first drive, it would be a different ball game. Hackenberg is very good, but he is obviously feeling the pass rush as a young qb. A bad team doesn't make some of the plays they have. But a good team doesn't give up some they have. Putting up this much on a young team early will cause them to just lay down.

I'm not going to praise OSU for beating up on mediocre Big 10 teams. Big deal. Beat someone like Oregon or Alabama or FSU in a bowl game this year and I'll give em all the praise you want. Until then, nothing. They should be able to beat up on everyone in the Big 10, big deal.

Is the NFL mentality showing its a detriment for O'Brien? If Belton is this good, why did O'Brien start the game relying on the pass? Because that's what they do In the NFL?

On PSU's first drive they were running and passing with balance... then there was the interception.

And then OSU blew open the game with some great offense and good defense.

Basically the wheels came off the bus pretty early.

Now they'll run it more in the 2nd half as the game is over to shorten it some but also work on their offense for the next game

I don't think so. Probably because Ohio State has been great against the run and struggled against the pass.

Also, this isn't 5 years ago where you're going to have a chance to beat OSU like 17-14. PSU's defense is pretty bad and trying to keep the game low-scoring and controlling the clock wasn't going to work.

Worked for Iowa until OSU started to stop their offense.

Iowa beat them through the air mostly, and it didn't last more than 25 minutes of game time.

Then again, even if that was their gameplan, it automatically changes when you get down 14-0 this fast.

They were just short passes in the flat. 14 play drives are 14 play drives. PSU was only down 7-0 and got a stop on the turnover and O'Brien went right to the air

Looks like Hyde and Miller are done.
Good to see Hall and Kenny getting some time now.
