The song he did about being a serial killer and murdering Brittany Spears and Lindsay Lohan -- Same Song and Dance -- is one of my favorite tracks of his, ever. And it appeared on, what critics refer to as anyway, Eminem's worst album. The dude could rap a Hilary Duff song and it would win awards.
LOL I agree man, to me that was his worst album and I still had in on blast for a long time, people criticized the hell out of it unjustly.

Em is the only rapper I've ever heard to be able to consistently rhyme syllables, sometimes he will go on an entire verse on one syllable and make it sound normal with the way he flows it, other times he will punctuate it, crazy.

All Recovery did was win a Grammy lol

That album was awesome. "You're Never Over" might've been his best track.

Seems like a pretty big shot at Mac Lethal in the second verse there.

The song was good, but the fact that he opened his new album with Berzerk instead of this makes me worried for the rest of the album.

His past three or four CD's were garbage compared to the Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP and it doesn't matter how you spin it.

Did you use the word dope because the topic is rap music?

Berzerk translates better to the radio. I'm not a big rap fan, but I do enjoy Eminem. I'm not sure what all the hate for Berserk is about.

Berzerk was an obvious ode to many of the Eminem's biggest inspirations, The Beastie Boys, Run-DMC and early LL Cool J. It was a good song, and not at all as bad as anyone here is making it out to be.

No, it's bad and overplayed as expected.

It's subjective, but I do agree that it's already overplayed. Not quite to the level of Lil' Wayne's "Lollipop" -- my god -- but overplayed, to be sure.

Berserk sucks, and Relapse was awful because of his stupid accent, which even he admitted. Other than that, he's been nothing but consistent over the years. This new song is just another example of how much talent he has.

He's good at rapping that's for sure. Not a fan of some of the lyrics at all though.

If we're talking all-time, then, yes, there are certainly artists that were at and even higher than Eminem's skill level. Today, though, there are not. Eminem is the greatest rapper on planet Earth. And the best selling musician worldwide, regardless of genre, of the 2000s.

And to your point, there really can't be 1 single "best" in music, because it's a subjective thing.

As I said, there were rap artists as good or even more talented than Eminem in history. Big L is dead, though.

I like Big L as well. Like Biggie, however, his career and discography were both much too short for the level of talent he had. The rap world was greatly deprived. Some other names I'd throw around in "the discussion" are Kool G Rap, AZ, Big Pun and early Nas. As far as groups, Lost Boys are criminally underrated.
