I prefer to watch the funnier skits online. There are a few people I know who post links to them if they are good.

SNL is hit or miss, but I do like Cecily Strong and Jay Pharoah. The rest of the cast is just, bleh.

My favorite skit of last season didn't even involve any of the present members (except maybe Taran Killam?). It was Bruno Mars' and Jason Sudeikis' Pandora station skit. Hilarious.

Seriously though, SNL sucks and has for at least 10+ years.

A co worker was going on and on about a skit recently involving bruno mars and pandora, so I decided, hmm ok I'll give it a shot. Wish I could get those 4 min back, it was awful. 0/10 would not watch again. Not even close to funny.
If you could get those 4 minutes back, what are some of the things you wish you could do instead?

My wife DVR's it and I normally watch it Sunday mornings while I'm looking through bets for the early NFL games. It has gotten better, and the pornstar skits crack me up.

Those are some of my favorites I have ever seen.

I like Bill Hader........"Spear in the head?.......Tylenol"

I catch SNL every so often lately since I'm now retired and don't have much of a life.

I did enjoy the "troll" banter at the beginning of the thread, btw.

IMO, Bill Hader was the last redeeming feature of the present-day SNL. It jumped off the plank over a decade ago.

With that said, on the rare occasion that I do watch it, there are still some laughs here and there. I agree with the OP there. But I haven't caught it yet this season.

SNL went through a period where it was absolutely unwatchable, but guys like Hader and Sudeikas brought it back to being good at times. Typically the host determines how good it is going to be. Melissa McCarthy has been great on there a couple times.

SNL pretty much nosedived after Eddie Murphy left in the early 80's.

They have started off with two strong episodes. I love Killam, Moynahan and Bayer. The only problem is that they don't put Bayer in enough sketches. They instead shove the horrendously unfunny Kate McKinnon into everything which often times ruins the sketches. Most of the cast is pretty good though.
