Is it just me, or has SNL gotten really enjoyable lately? Last season was spectacular (sad seeing Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis, Fred Armisen, and Tim Robinson go), and this season is off to a great start. Idk how everyone else feels, but I love Cecily Strong. Not only is she extremely hot, but she's also hilarious.

Which brings me to my next point...

Cecily Strong's skit with Vanessa Bayer, where they play "porn stars turned saleswomen" might be one of the top 10 funniest SNL skits ever. Yes... I said that. Here are some links to the skits...

Which brings me to the rest of the cast...

Vanessa Bayer is hilarious (didn't know she was born & raised in Cleveland, OH either)... Aidy Bryant is perfect in the right roles (usually where she's playing the chunky, "innocent" girl)... Bobby Moynihan is usually pretty funny... Jay Pharoah's impersonations are SPOT on (Obama, Stephen A. Smith, Will Smith, Shannon Sharpe, Tracy Morgan)... and I know others don't care for him, but I've always loved Kenan Thompson.

Taran Killam, Kate McKinnon are probably the next level.

Nasim Pedrad is just ok, but I could do without her.

Out of the "newbies", Beck Bennett is probably the only good one (tho Michael O'brien and Noel Wells have some potential).

Idk... it's not your grandfather's SNL, but it's still quite entertaining... at least I think so.

Haven't watched, because it sucks ass. A twilight fan sure isn't going to get me interested in watching it either. Also, I have a life, so I probably wouldn't watch SNL on a saturday night.

Last time I watched SNL was probably about 10-15 years ago. Closer to 15 than 10 probably.

Doubt that streak's getting broken anytime soon, unless something horrible happens and I become an invalid who can't do anything except watch TV.

You must be related to someone in that cast because that is the only answer for thinking the present SNL is even semi-watchable. Absolutely horrendous. I sometimes watch just to see how F'n bad it can get.

And it took 6 minutes for the Troll Brigade to come out in full force. How come every time like_that/Raw Dawgin' It/Heretic try to "rip" on me, the other(s) are always right around the corner. Hmm.... could it be... same account?!

Well he does have close ties to SNL as they based a character off of him on that animated superhero skit they used to have......

I will also answer the OP's question. SNL sucks ass. A co worker was going on and on about a skit recently involving bruno mars and pandora, so I decided, hmm ok I'll give it a shot. Wish I could get those 4 min back, it was awful. 0/10 would not watch again. Not even close to funny.

Now, if you wish for more details...

The half-hour slot for sketch comedy (such as In Living Color and Monty Python's Flying Circus) to me is a better deal for sketch comedy. Even when I was watching SNL and thought they were good, over a 90-minute span, things were just really uneven at times (depending on the host) with a number of skits I didn't overly enjoy. When they went downhill, it'd be 90 minutes of which 5 was worth watching.

Now, if I want to watch sketch comedy, I own the complete Flying Circus series, so I'll just pop in a DVD and see something I know I'll enjoy, instead of wondering how much time I'd be wasting before I see something I like.

I have people give me links all the time to skits, and 95% of them are just terrible. Just a bunch of actors/actresses who try too hard.

Quit picking on Scarlet Buckeye. SNL is fantastic. I laugh every week until my tummy hurts. Lorne Michaels is a genius. All you people are a bunch of haters! I'm with you SB!!

It's hit or miss for me, but I still tune in occasionally.

Kyle Mooney is a funny dude, so I'll definitely try to catch some when he's on.

I will tune in if I someone that interests me is hosting. I really dont watch it much anymore. It really is bad comedy. Every once in awhile they have a good skit but its far and few between.
