Gone at the too-young age of 66. Produced some really entertaining page-turners.

I think Splinter Cell was probably the best thing his name was on.

Read a couple of his books. Really liked Without Remorse (I think it was called that...the one with the backstory of one of his main recurring characters as he basically massacred some drug-pushers because they raped and murdered his girlfriend whom he rescued from them previously); thought a couple others were solid and only didn't like the one he had concerning a new war with the Japanese, which came off as a bit dense and plodding for my tastes.

RIP.

patriot games and clear and present danger are some of my all time faves

tried to get into the video games rainbow six and splinter cell but dont think i ever finished one, but for their day they were very detailed and were cutting edge at the time.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was a masterpiece of a game.

The only Tom Clancy book I've ever read is The Teeth of the Tiger. I thought it was a great read.

Clancy books are my favorite actually. I think I own Patriot Games, Teeth of the Tiger, Rainbow Six, and Debt of Honor, on top of the others I've read.

Sad to hear this.

Wrong answer.

Without Remorse- The part is when he sticks the bad guy in the decompression tank and gives him the bends.

John Kelly is the baddest Tom Clancy mofo.
