Swisher needs to start seeing a sports pyschologist this off-season if he isn't already.
This team is on the verge for next year, and he has to be a part of it in the post season.
He is a career .169 hitter in 154 post season AB's, and it is part of why the Yankees didn't retain him. He is too good a player, and too important to this team going forward to not find a way to snap out of this.
I don't mean to single him out, but it is like a switch goes off with the guy in the post season and it needs to be addressed by him if it hasn't already.
This team is close, and that is the good news.

He's trying to hit the big shot too much. Those hacks he was taking were ridiculousIggyPride00;1511755 wrote:Swisher needs to start seeing a sports pyschologist this off-season if he isn't already.

Does Asdrubal play a game for us next year? I think we try to ship him and Perez elsewhere, but not sure we can get anything for them.

Maybe the guy has made a good career out of beating up on average to below average pitchers....you don't get to see those in October.IggyPride00;1511755 wrote:Swisher needs to start seeing a sports pyschologist this off-season if he isn't already.

Both Ohio teams lose the one game play in wild card games, both in non save, 4 run differentials.

Chips did not fall our way tonight. ANYONE bu Asdrubal is up in the 4th and this is probably a much different outcome. Mightve still lost, but it wouldve been in a different fashion.

Anyone but Asdrubal, Bourn, Swisher, and Kipnis. I think Bourn was the only one of them to hit the ball out of the infield.Laley23;1511769 wrote:Chips did not fall our way tonight. From who? No one on the Tribe side has wanted him since about the Memorial Day mark in May.Ironman92;1511763 wrote:Somewhere around the ASB I was joking to trade Homer Bailey for Asdrubal.....I got a lot of no's.
Hell, most of us were PISSED he wasnt traded at the deadline. I dont know if Bailey was needed for us, but anyone wouldve been good.

I know what you mean, but the way that inning played out, Asdrubal was the obvious choice to fuck us over. The whole season pointed to it. Anyone else I think we get at least 1...Glory Days;1511770 wrote:Anyone but Asdrubal, Bourn, Swisher, and Kipnis. I think Bourn was the only one of them to hit the ball out of the infield.

Here was the jinx. Listening to the radio earlier...
'Fans, put down a deposit on season tickets for next year and get top priority for WORLD SERIES tickets.'
I understand that they have to do that to get people to commit and they have to strike while the iron is hot but damn...I hated hearing that. Jumping the gun a bit and clearly the reason we lost.

Talk about squandered opportunities.

The last time the Indians had at least 9 hits (with 3 doubles) and scored 0 runs (in regular season) was June 9, 1938.

I know most of us where really excited about the possibility of sending him to STL for a prospect.
His time in Cleveland is over. Honestly, he had some great years and big moments in 2007 when we made a run to the ALCS Game 7. But, he has worn out his welcome and Fransisco Lindor is ready (close at the very least).
