Nope, he throws a better ball and he proved this during the game against FAMU.

I'm hoping they find a way to get another year of eligibility out of Bauserman.

Usually its all red with a little purple. But I'm guessing there will be much more purple than usual since NW is actually good and OSU is a top 5 opponent. OSU fans will still show up in big numbers. But getting tickets won't be as easy.

So many of those guys have been around Dom Tiberi for 4-5 years. Some guys even 8 years. He visits HS football practices around the area daily and makes sure to talk to anyone who comes up to him.

Yea, Philly, Braxton, and Fields seemed to be close with Dom. Also, it seems that this was something they took upon themselves, and weren't forced to do by the coaching staff.LJ;1510258 wrote:Yeah I teared up, so what, wanna fight about it?

I feared up for Dom. Makes me proud to be a buckeye fan. Hyde also seemed to have a great respect for him.

Heard some derelicts at golf last night going on about how Guiton should be the starter. PEOPLE! ...how GD dumb are you? Do you really think you are smarter than an entire coaching staff that sees both players every single day for maybe 8 - 12 hrs of that day!? If the staff is selecting BM, there are hard analytical bonafide reasons and Guiton himself knows it too. But if things get dicey at any point expect to see them both in the backfield in what shall be known from them on as the "Tiernan Formation" on the OC.

Does anyone here besides CC The Doooooookie actually think Guiton should start over Miller? Seems that using that small selection sample that only people who don't know much about sports more complex than simply running think that's the smart call.Tiernan;1510417 wrote:Heard some derelicts at golf last night going on about how Guiton should be the starter. So what exactly is the balance between putting up gargantuan numbers and ensuring victory? Offensive coordinator Tom Herman said there is none.
"What gets lost is the offense and defense and special teams, they’re not mutually exclusive," Herman said. "We all work together. When you have a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter, the way you approach how you are going to call the game changes significantly, and I would think any football coach — I’d hope — would tell you the same.
"Do the fans want to see everything they saw in the first quarter in the fourth quarter? Absolutely. Good for them. But it's not going to happen. We have a responsibility to win the game. We don't have a resposibility to put up ‘x’ number of points or ‘x’ number of yards. There were certainly very justifiable reasons for approaching the game the way we did there in the fourth quarter."
If the strategy did not impress the pollsters, the results — for the 17th straight time — could not be disputed.
Style points? Herman laughed.
"There's a reason there is talk radio and message boards and everybody in here has a job," Herman told a room filled with reporters Monday. "And that's to discuss things that are probably never, ever, ever discussed in the staff room. You guys decide to lose sleep over it, and that’s fine."

Of course he's said that. That's what makes it even more strategically surprising when he does it.

I'm looking forward to this game. I would expect Ohio State to cover, but NU has landed much more talent/speed the past few years than they typically do. Coach Fitz is building a solid program, and I hope the 'Cats at least make a run at it to keep things exciting.

Made it to the hotel on Sheridan a little South of Evanston. Saw 3 cars of Buckeyes at a rest area on the way up and another 8 Buckeye fans at the hotel. Should be a good contingent up here for the game.
